Clausewitz does anyone who it is

Sure everybody of us has seen on the left side in the intro the symbol of the Clausewitz machine, a screenshot of that is impossible.
But did anyone refleceted who was Clausewitz what he developed and what he created and so?
I supposed not.
In the last threads there had been some complains about the prussian big military strength.
I am not sure but perhaps some of his ideas are one of the basic of that game, it looks like.

And FYI Karl von Clausewitz is outside the vast majority of the game’s timeframe. He is more in Victoria or HoI in regards to influence.

Clausewitz fought against Napoleon, that's EU4 period. He died around 1830 IIRC.

Having read On War, I recommend it. The first 100 pages can be difficult, but as the book goes on it has a lot of valuable lessons about leadership.

I actually first read "The Prince", then looked for other books of that style and find the famous Sun Tzu then... Clausewitz... Then i realised that EU IV told me to read it for years ahah.

That was not my intention I only reflected me as a German who ignored over a long periode that symbol or information. Could you excepted this pardon?

While I am rather opposed to the idea in theory of a country having tremendous military national ideas due to one general (and I do not think that is the case here), for Prussia I do not mind their space-marines. Even though Prussia arguably weren't that famous for their military strength until the final third or so of the EU4 timeframe, the Prussian military is still iconic enough to warrant the strong military ideas.

I guesss if one were to look at the entire timeframe of the period and base the strength of military ideas on consistent overall performance, France would have the strongest ideas. I guess the reason why they don't is because we associate historical France with so much more that their consistently excellent military had to take a back seat.

Its a little bit late for a replay, sorry.
1:First of all I am not a prussian, not at all!. Coming from Frankfurt which is suffering till today under the prussian occupatian. If you would visit Frankfurt you will never find any prussian monument nor any "Bismarck-tower or -street". Okay?
2. Since my 14th year I am always for several weeks in France, and perhaps my french is a little bit better than english. I love France like for instance Fredericus Rex too who speaks only normally french and who has had a famous "rendevous" here with Voltaire near Kleve.
3. It is also my opinion that in the time of gameplay France was the "Superpower" without any dought.
4. The devs of PDX named their machine after Clausewitz who was a genius as well,point.
At the final end I would like to tell you "Le magnifique Bocuse est mort" and he was really one of the best embassy for the french culture et avec son couteau il etait plus fort et
peut-être plus important que un General francais. Hope everybody understand it but there are the help of Google!
