Hello, I'm looking for a world conquest / one faith with France, which should be easy, but since I've never done it before, it won't.

I'm gonna post screenshots first :

Aragon is my PU, Bulgarie / Norvège / Grenade / Palatinat are my vassals. Malwa, Scandinavie and the Pope are my allies. I have dissolved the HRE a while ago. I have 105 absolutism.

Now I don't know where to go. I was thinking to complete the "annex Alsace-Lorraine" for the -20% AE but then what ? I have Imperialism in a few months but it's not a lot much better than Deus Vult CB so... I'm just going to keep eating land I guess ? My economy doesn't look awesome which worries me a bit.

I was thinking about attacking GB / Portugal / Castile and eat their islands then annex them full in the next war to inherit their colonial subjects, in the meantime annexing the malaysian trade node.

I'm also confused by the provinces I make into trade companies : they use much more governing capacity than when I leave them into just territories. I'm building a lot of building reducing the governing cost rn but I'm always very close to the limit.

Should I go revolutionnary ? How ?

Thanks a lot !

EDIT : I forgot to mention, Scandinavia has a member of my dynasty as a regent for a weak claim heir (11 years old) so I could technically broke my alliance and attack the country for PU but I'd need to truce break, would it be a good move ?

I'd say get control of the Zanzibar trade region next. That way you can continue conquering into India and funnel more trade through Zanzibar and back through the English Channel. You are going to need to conquer multiple nodes at once, and getting Zanzibar makes pretty much everything to the east part of an upstream node.

Also, break the alliance with Scandinavia and get the PU.

All of India and SE Asia is worth putting into trade companies. If you are serious about the one faith, you will need to cycle provinces in and out of trade companies to convert them. Build town halls, workshops, and manufactories.

Also, looking at the year, you are probably going to come up short. Play it out to the end, though. There are a lot of mechanics in the Age of Revolutions that you need to become familiar with to pull it off in a later run if you don't make it this time.

I'm not sure you will have the warscore to annex Castile's colonial nations in one war. Use your mission tree to get a PU over them and integrate them (you might not have time now) so you get all their colonial nations.

To WC from that situation you would have to massively speed up your conquest, but it may be doable. But you probably have to improve your economy by a lot so that you can afford to build a courthouse in all high dev territories and a town hall in all TC provinces. It is probably only worth it to TC centers of trade and estuaries.

A one faith would be much harder. For a one-faith from that position you would have to be very good with vassal management, because there is no way that you can convert all the missing provinces in the remaining time. 4 missionaries is also very low. Even as a catholic you could have at least 6 (1 base, religious ideas, DotF, Jerusalem, Mecca, parliament) and 7 if you start as a country with a missionary in their national ideas or if you form Jerusalem(only possible before the age of absolutism). And for an easier catholic WC, you should have killed the reformation in its infancy and prevented anglican colonial nations.

Edit: But you should give it a try. Even if you fail, you will learn a lot about late game conquest and will be able to do much better next time
