It is a year old now but it seems that keys bought from canada, the us and europe are NOT region locked. That means buying from GMG or Imperial should still work for Germans.

This was something from when we had a massive surge in gray market keys. People buying cheap games in Russia to re-sell these at a higher price in other regions. Not related to this at all. From what I can see, all questions in here is answered in the FAQ.
