I'm just wondering what exactly the deal is with these options, since I would like to try my hand at being a cunning diplomat and peacefully seizing power from other nations or even getting such power over them militarily instead of outright annexing everything in sight.
I've arranged royal marriages with nations that have no heir or a weak claim and then I've made my own claim to their throne, but usually after a few months to a year I lose my casus belli if I fail to declare war.
If I DO declare war and conquer the kingdom, the option for forming a personal union is always grayed out.
I played EU3 when it first came out, and never got my feet wet with NA or IN. So my time here in HTTT is my first in a long while.
Am I doing something wrong?
Would I be ok reading a guide for IN or is HTTT's new system far too different?
A strategy guide is desperately needed on my part for this game now.
Muchos gracias to any who can give me a little bit of advice.
