Same problem here, I don't think I've ever seen the option to force PU unlocked.

If you have a PU, and the junior partner goes independent, you can then fight a "unification war" in which the force PU option is available.

But, it seems, it only stays unlocked as long as the CB is valid. That is, if the CB expires while you are still fighting, you no longer have it available (or indeed, any CB).

Of course you can have multiple PUs at once--look at Denmark in the 1399 start As to the second, I do not know. I haven't had a stable dynasty in any of the games I've played so far.

A senior partner can have multiple personal unions. Junior partners obviously cannot.

Yes. You also increase your chances of a succession conflict.

EDIT: However, my second response only applies to Heir to the Throne. I think you are confused about the "Claim the Throne" function in IN, it doesn't increase your chances of gaining a personal union. I'd recommend you get HttT.

i am playing the HTTT demo as Austria and had lots of Royal marriages i ended up forming a PU with Bar Scotland and Brandandbrug the game is still going i fear for its end i cant wait to get the game i love the improvements i reconmend it for anyone that has EU 3 IN. well what happen is i inherrit Scotland only because i had no legal heir wired but i still have a PU with Bar and Brandandbrug. I want to know what controls you keeping the PU going inheriting and loseing the PU all together. and i think if you have a PU you should be able to actually control that nation someway not let the AI do it.

I saw the option unlocked only ONCE after a long "Claim Throne" war against a diminished Mamluks at 98% warscore. It never happened again in a dozen wars with the same casus belli. Either it's bugged or there are some hidden requirements.
