As my Parser is now built, I have the facility to create some tools. The ckTrim application has been successfully deployed and I'm now working on a BrideFinder as well.

So now would be a good time for people to suggest ideas for tools they may find useful. All of them will be Windows applications running under the .NET 2.0 Architecture.

So far, the possibilities:

ckTrim: Deployed
ckMatchMaker: In development
ckFamilyTree: Possible
ckSaveEditor: The ultimate that I'm aiming for

I'm not that keen on the External Ledger idea... but I may do something that allows you to examine the game objects on my way to developing the Savegame editor.

So ideas/functionality in the above is welcome. Please keep ideas to things that can be manipulated in the save games/scenarios. I'm not an Assembly programmer so mods that manipulate the memory while the game is running are not my thing.

The floor is now open...

I believe it's command line only.

A lot of the stuff is involved. Translating CK province ownership to EU2 ownership, culture of provinces, transporting claims, liege - vassal relationship, etc. Some of the stuff can be quite tedious to do.

I'm not sure if user interface is enough of a motive to do it.

A ckSaveEditor would be very cool, I am hoping for that one

There is already a good converter by King of Man and a converter isn't really that interesting to me, since I don't continue my games in EUII

I guess CK->EU2 converter is out of the question?

King of Men is already doing a great job with his converter. I guess Beauclerc has enough job with the other tools first :p

It sounds like King of Men is the man for the conversion job - best leave the expert to it. Maybe we could collaborate at the end and I could produce a windows front-end?

The Save/Scenario tool will be a massive effort, but it's the reason I started in the first place. Maybe I'll do it as a phased development.

The hope (vain probably) is that the opportunity to create new scenarios or just simply change things in a savegame (and even cheat if that's what people want - it's up to the individual player if it makes them happy) will get more people involved in CK again... and that in turn may encourage Paradox to persist with the idea, and bring us Crusader Kings 2. I think it's got the basis of a superb game... that's why I'm putting the effort in.

Any tool you will make will be usefull.

I haven't used the ckTrim (yet) because my PC has no problem with dealing with the big save game files :) and I haven't started a long campaign since you finished it

I do.

At least when I use my own bridefinder (plock) I usually search for multiple religions: catholic & orthodox at the same time. (it's actually the default for plock). Since all christians can marry each other it is useful to be able to check both at the same time.

You can put a condition not to look in one particular dynasty, so that people with the same dynasty as yours do not pop-up in the result list.

Good idea. If the game didn't create the inbred trait even if you marry a distant cousin with the same name, then I'd be cautious. But it seems that if you marry anyone from the same dynasty, you have a good chance of getting children with that trait, so they're best avoided completely.

That's why I had included it in plock (there is a -d DYNID option that excludes given dynid).

(plock is just command-line so it doesn't compete with your advanced windowed tool)

I wanted to request dynasty as well. I want to know the dynasty of the future spouse in any case: if given a choice between a future spouse of a default dynasty ('of province') and a De Normandie or Capet etc. I always chose the latter.

Would you be able to include a "total stats" option? I'd like to be able to search by the value of the bride's stats all added together. Whenever I put in minimums to search for brides, I'm always worried that I'll miss women who have a low stat in one area but astronomical ones elsewhere.

Yes, save editor would be nice. Especially, a function of primary title change would be great.
