Well you can't post orders yet at all since we're still in the pre-game (I plan to start either on Friday or Tuesday at this rate). Once we start I'll open up a thread for players to post orders in.

Or the link was so old that it used an out-of-date format. :D

Sounds good. I just couldn't find any information, so I was wondering where the title came from. :)

Oh, and in exchange for the duke-level title I limited your initial realm to just the one province. This obviously isn't set in stone, but since at least one other player has getting a duchy as their initial ambition I figured there needed to be something to offset being a little higher in rank.

That's completely fine, I just wanted Kent anyways.

I'd propose (if it's not a problem) some kind of bereaucratic dividement.
Let them create their own Order's place for technical ones and another one for official statements. I think that it'd optional and working, to keep technicaliae outside of ooc orders? And official ones outside aswell?
May it be?

I wonder who those ambitious players are :p
You know, I don't want to have a power or serene title. All what I want to have is somebody who keeps me outside of those warmongers.
Because they only like coalitions, gunboating and such.
Actually I'm tired of hearing stories about "we'll conquer them". "What a scheme". "Those silly beraucrats take taxes from ous, so they're extremelly bad".
All what I want to have is quiet place for my management job.
I don't use nicks personally, because - well - those ones are making coalitions, waste their times on internal wars, while I just want to send an ordner to make a job, plan it myself and develop it, not to waste time on eternal "we WON'T PAY TAXES" mantra.
I don't like schemers and those just waste my time at all. Because everything of their "conspiracy" and such.

A place when I just place descripted verordnungen for each side of development. Technical things, not those about common things.
You know, getting crown whatever it may be is only a sign of being exempled. There's also many things to do to build the country from scratch. Wasting powers on schemes is only, well, wasting time and resouces on things which aren't that important at all.
All what I want to do is to make technical things around preparation for visit. From most rudimentary like preparing a gift as sign of loyalty to His Royal Majesty, find words for basic poses to His Grace and simply tell what to do in perspective of about 10 years per order.
Just to do.
In short: I want to have place where I'd just organize and manage those things to get them working.

I think that it's fully realistic to assume that some sort of capacity to "scheme" is necessary to do what you'd like to do. Just because you aren't interested in becoming King of England doesn't mean you're an island unaffected by everything else that's happening. In fact, I'd argue that for what you want, you're going to have to be involved somehow, because the sort of stability you seek isn't likely to develop under the status quo.

Also what do you mean by that?
Those, who are taught.

I competely agree, but I'm just, well, unwilling to hear everything about "study our language otherwise you're filthy German". "You don't exist" or "We're more numerous, so we'll win".
It's just waste of my time.
I've to study at uni to teach myself about Silesian history, but in my perspective whole "You don't exist" scheme is just tireing and makes me unable to focus myself.
And, on another matter, if may I ask about genealogy, what do you know about Mehlich family?

Well, I've now proposed an alternative way of stabilizing his realm. After all, we should all pursue closer relations underneath the leader ship of Alfred.:D

I also need to propose that deal to the House of Uskglass, sadly I don't want to do it before he states his court is open.

In fact, I'd argue that for what you want, you're going to have to be involved somehow, because the sort of stability you seek isn't likely to develop under the status quo.
The problem is that I simply can't find proper word to tell, while their discussions are something like "we'll conquer enemies of our glorious xyz".
I simply can't lie nor want to offend someone at all.
When I hear something like empty words scheme and overall anarchy basing on stressing somebody up to his nerves being drained out, I feel just weirdly, because that's definetely not what I want to do.
Also hearing something like "You don't exist" "Speak like we" etc. makes me feeling like, well, just tired of those coalitions' fights.
Keeping telling me "You're a Slav, because your language is blah, blah, blah" and "Your nation doesn't exist" just infuriates me and keeps me thinking about problems like that whole important to scheme somebody is just to make good impression and that's all.
While I just don't like doing so.
I definetely support concept of introducing Duchy of Lothian and I'll help you with that, but I definetely don't like paranoid people. Just don't like. I've met plenthora of those among Polish "fighters", which just believe that stating national stereotypes about Germans, saying how bad they're and how "powerful", "beautiful" Polish state and language is, makes unchangable with their constant paranoia about "repolonizing those lands". This family, according to what I've sawn in data, lives in Silesia, lives and lives, while each separate state fighting over this land keeps telling them "You're not Silesians, you're Poles/Czechs and we've rights to conquer you because we're numerous.
I know and competely understand that Silesia was being carved down between Poland, Brandendeburg and Bohemia-Moravia since times immemorial, but anything what I want to have is just place of quiety and regularity - because I'm regular person.
I simply can't find a language which I need to speak. Poles keeps telling ous that since we're saying in Slavic, we're Slavs. Czechs the same. In fact we speak with Germanic organisation of language, but with Slavic - especially Polish - letters.
My branch came from around Rudinitz in Lower Silesia-Upper Silesia borderline. In fact, the family is as old as 17/18th century borderline, but I can't go to another archive in other district because people being taught there just makes me uncapable of focusing my planning and thinking. It's kept in Oppeln as part of "Opelnisches Regierung" seriae or unit covering area of subject. Other documents about Mehlichs are in Opava, but when I planned to ask about them, I felt something like ashamed, because of childish nature of those so-called "Poles".
I can't even find proper word, because this area is filled with Slavismi and oldest documents about ous are those introduced with Prussian administration.
I can't even take a while to go to the archive which I plan for, because my mother (which is slav and thinks only on taking care about my "poor brother" and her "hard job" and while I need to focus myself after going back from the studies or simply relax keeps flooding me with all their mantra.
I'm not a militarist. I'm someone who keeps thinking about making things working and analising matters. Thinks "analithically", as Poles kept telling ous.
I've a problem because Poles (and generaly people, which I've met) tend to keep telling me "do it now" "quicker" "now" or simply provoke me by sending "quick words" which are planned to irritate me and make me confused when I try to tell something.
In fact, all what I need to have is a place when to rest, consider something nor to hear eternal "do it now, because teachers will force ous to think.
In fact, history of Silesia is based upon Polish "Piasts" dynasties rulling along, which died out about 100 years before those died out and my family keeps existing in local archives, Czechs claiming that those were "Saint Vaclav's Crown's lands" and Brandenburgians, who keeps wanting this land for them. Everybody sends their "speak like we mantra" and despite the fact that we're still existing somehow without own language makes me thinking that we're practically being colonized about and, in effect, I can't find proper word to describe most of words, because I get used to understand them directly from latin meaning.

I'm not entirely sure how it came to this, but I feel compelled to point out that players should not take in-character posts as out-of-character beliefs/positions. I think it's safe to say that none of us are actually Anglo-Saxon earls that have plotted to kill our fathers to inherit their lands, but we'll still post about these things in-character because that's what the characters we created would do/believe. Creating characters that aren't like us is a big part of why many people play: In real life I'm a borderline anarchist when it comes to how big the government should be, but in-game I might play a paranoid king that rules with an iron fist because it's fun to explore that kind of character and what happens as a result of their actions. This isn't a reflection of my real-world beliefs; it's just a story I'm telling.

Some players are going to create reprehensible characters (in fact, apparently most players are :D ). If your characters don't like them then you can have them react accordingly, but understand that they are just characters, not author stand-ins.

I've just a problem with Adamgerd and Janha. I simply can't understand them.
Also, I've a problem how to write something, while only thing what I want to do is try this negotiations lesson.
My apologies.
I also can't focus, because I've to take care about my brother, who just can't wake up to go to his own school.
In fact I competely understand that I'm not Anglo-Saxon aristocrat. I just want to play myself without worry to hear eternal correction of my speech and tells about whole nationalistic claims and demands.
Ok, I'll admit it's maybe a 50/50 with some people, but in general... :D
Playing somebody does not necessary means playing everything about claims. I'm really from Wiechoczek's, which are separate line of Mehlichs, but all what I want to do is to just focus a bit. That's all.
I also can't understand jokes, in fact paranoid people aswell. My apologies.
Now I've to go to my archive in Katowice and I'll be later tommorow here.
Good time I wish you.

Also what do you mean by that?
The word "student" came from latin [ego] studeo which means "I study".
In Silesia student means someone who studies at high school or university.

Well I want to put out there for the record that if anyone ever needs another player to restate something in plainer English due to language/etc. issues, I'm sure if you ask they'll be happy to do so. Characters being deceitful and sometimes saying stupid/ignorant things is just the nature of the game though, and if that's going to be a problem I'd encourage you to maybe sit by the side and watch instead. I'm autistic myself so I get the frustration with people (even fictional ones) being manipulative and deceitful and saying obviously wrong things, but I've learned to separate myself from the game in a way where I can deal with that. If this is going to be a real problem for you though, then I don't think you're going to enjoy playing very much.

Anyway, I'm declaring the game officially open: New players can still sign up, but we'll be accepting orders. I'd like to have one or two turns pass before the king's death just to make sure everything is going smoothly in terms of mechanics/orders/etc. all working properly before things get turned upside-down, and if there are no objections I'll be joining as a player myself. :)
