CKII running slow. Help needed.

Hi guys! I think i might have some sort of problem. CKII runs very slow on my laptop, which is not high-end, but have a few times better hardware than minimal sistem requements.

I've got Dell Inspiron 3537, 8gb Ram, I-7 4500U and Radeon HD 8850M. It can run Victoria II or EU IV perfectly, but slows on CKII. I'm currenly at 889 year and it already becomes hard to play. It takes a couple minutes for year to pass on 5 speed.

Does anybody knows if it can be fixed somehow?

Yes. Don't play on speed 5, sip some tea, take your time to look around the map, enjoy a relaxing game of murder and incest.

The game is throttled by its engine, and all of the extra stuff PDS has added to it over the years. The game running slow is, unfortunately, par for the course now.

They could do with updating the system requirements for Crusader Kings 2. I don't think a Pentium IV would have a very good time.
