Apparently so. It must have come back during the one of the recent beta patches.

It's a damn nuisance, I tell you. Half my vassals are feudal now, including three of my sons.

You know, I specifically worked hard to settle my nomads as a tribe so I could become a republic in the last province of the Silk Road as it empties into the Black Sea, and my idiot sons and vassals act stupid.

Why are they acting stupid? From their perspective, it is "All power for myself!" Vs. "Sharing power with others". Very few rulers supported Republicanism if they didn't need to.
But I do think that the ruler should somehow be able to force non-theocratic vassals into his Government Type.

In any case, this should be part of its own topic.

I play as a Norse, Reformed Germanic. I've adopted a merchant republic government type. But since I almost had all Scandinavia, 80% of my vassals have adopted feudalism. GG Paradox. So I've made a Rage Comic about it. I renamed "Svipjod" as "Nordland" and after becoming a republic, I renamed it "Norse Republic". Vethorn is Ragnarr's son and Ragnarr reformed the faith. These comics are made because of ingame events, exploits/bugs, points of interests, funny happenings/occurences and my impressions of them transfered into rage comics. I hope you can read it and I apologize if there are some mistakes. I am not an 100% Englishman. If you want more of those comics and adventures of my Norse Republic, tell me.

I am glad you like it. Do you know Svipjod's flag? Golden pagan eagle on dark blue backround? I've created kingdom title with that flag. But when I've built my first trade post... Flag of my trade post was a little bit different. If Paradox would fix that, that would be great.

I was seriously annoyed when I discovered that vassals can go on kidnapping sprees on lieges, without ever having to face any consequences. First rage comic ever.
