So in that language learning event. I couldn't help but notice it looks a bit weird when the tooltip says:
I learn to speak the Assyrian language
to then a bit later state
You learn the Aramaic language

It might cause a bit of confusion so I would suggest here to change that first bit to:
"I learn to speak the language of the Assyrians"
This is a normal type of tooltip. The dark gray text gives you a summary of the outcome while the light gray, white, and blue texts give you the specific details. There's no problem saying it twice in this instance.

I get that it is normal. It just uses culture and language names in the exact same context which can cause confusion. when they say the Assyrian language for example they use the exact same phrasing as when it says Aramaic language.

This means that there can be confusion generated about whether the character is learning a language called Assyrian, or Aramaic, because in the first case it is unclear just from that sentence that instead of the Assyrian language being a language called Assyrian they instead mean the language spoken by characters of the Assyrian culture.

a few questions:

1) do we need to have any prerequisites for any of the minor titles?

2) the way the new events have been rewritten do they fall back on the council in absence of minor title holders?
for example the architecture event requires a royal architect but if we don't have a royal architect can we choose our steward for the job?

Great! Minor title were nothing interesting in CK2, felt really flat. Most of the time I didn't even use them aside from regent maybe
I used them when my vassals where unhappy with me.

RE: "Hitting the books" -- As an American myself, I clearly understand the phrase and it's common here, but if it isn't common throughout the English-speaking world, which it probably isn't, then it's best to use a phrase that can be understood throughout the world. We don't need players asking "Why would beating books help?" :D
As someone who's not American, and is on a more South-African/Australian/British axis of language, I have no trouble understanding the phrase. It doesn't even strike me as a particularly American idiom. I don't think the original objection was about clarity - I think the person just disliked the fact that they thought of the idiom as an American one, and they don't like that in a medieval context.

That's a pretty weak justification to replace what is a pretty lively phrase with something bland, from my perspective. If enough people profess to not understand it, sure, maybe make it understandable. But I'd wager that's not the case, and that even the assumption that it somehow 'feels American' is up for debate.

Missed minor titles. Glad they are coming back, and likely as more than just a cheap way to boost the opinion of an angry vassal.

Hopefully there will be Grooms of the Stool. Whoever the ruler appoints to this position should gain a hefty opinion bonus, due to the fact that such courtiers-in the normal performance of their duties-were extremely close the the Ruler's person. They also held other high positions too...

I am looking forward to this expansion! Thanks for the new information!

Question: are characters really going to learn new languages “in a few weeks,” as the above tooltip says? My personal experience (and observations of others, not to mention the existence of 4-year Uni courses of study) is that learning a new language well enough to conduct, say, diplomatic negotiations, takes years, not weeks.

If I could master new languages in a matter of weeks, I would have become a polyglot before age 21! The expansion really will make one of my fantasies come true—in game.:D:p

Will the jester be an advisory role or a mocking role? Historically the title of great honour and would often have great advice for the king/queen. Often well-learned men, who had an ear to the public and an ear to their king/queen. Well accomplished scribes and also a gift in musical talents, they were often tasked in helping draft letters and were also well learned in hermetic arts. During a coronation, they would often remind the king, that they are not god, and only a man.

Hello everyone!

Welcome to the third summer teaser. This time around, I figured I would show you something quite different. As you may know already, minor titles will be returning alongside the upcoming expansion, Royal Court, allowing you to appoint a Court Jester, a Seneschal, and more! As you might expect, we’ll be adding a number of new events that make use of these appointed characters, but we are no strangers to also updating existing content if need be! We generally want features to be visible wherever it makes sense, and updating content can be a part of making old events have new and interesting options or additional variety and flavour.

Here are a few examples of events that we’ve updated (or added, as in the last example):

[Image of the updated Martial Lifestyle event The Walls of a County]

View attachment 741777
[Image of the updated Diplomacy Lifestyle event The Lure of Language]

[Image of a potential murder outcome]

You can expect more details in a future Dev Diary!
Along with adding these minor titles, could you please add a way to see who is filling these roles, and please add the role of Court Physician to this list. Also, it would be great if these minor titles, and court physician, were added to the popup screen when you hover the mouse cursor over a character, in the list of titles the character holds (like Son, player heir, court physician, knight).

Either I don't know where the court physician is listed, or it's not readily available. I'm currently either having to sift through all members of my court to find the one I've appointed as court physician or try appointing someone and waiting for the popup that tells me are you sure you want to fire "so-in-so" who is currently the court physician.

Maybe add a tab to a character's details that list that character's court officials? This could be similar to the current tab that lists members of their court, but focused on only listing court official roles that are not part of the royal council (like steward, marshal, etc.)

Very nice. I really hope you rename the final event, though.... MurdER PreventER: Cup-BearER (emphasis mine) makes it sound really weird. Or perhaps it's less the repetitive ER and more the word Preventer used in this way that sounds odd. Either way, I think a better title would be good. Otherwise, very nice.

Yep, I was once asked by a friend visiting from Tunisia, what the video for the song "Walk like an Egyptian" meant. He told me, "I've been to Egypt, they don't walk like that in Egypt". I had to explain it comes from the way ancient Egyptian inscriptions show characters, with their hands open, palm up, one arm forward, the other arm behind. He understood the humor then.

Hit F5 to open the court window and your physician is at the top.

Your character screen court-tab doesn’t show this info.
