We are trying to push a more meaningful Update 1.5.1 with a lot of fixes & improvements; Thus, the delay in releasing it.
I hope that you will be happy with the next build! Thanks for your patience
Thank you for your reply,
@PDX-Nicou.
Are you open to feedback? In that case, I'd like to suggest that this is was an unwise decision. A lot of people have gone and been annoyed by having to wait for so long to see quite game-impacting bugs fixed, when they know from seeing modders fix them in minutes that they could have been fixed a long time ago. Perhaps some issues that need fixing require more work - in that case, it might have been a wise idea to release a fix for the quick ones first, and for the more complicated ones later?
(This is not a complaint against you. You are one of the Paradox employees I have never seen reason to complain about. Every time you engage with people here I've found you to have a positive, friendly, and polite attitude, for which I am grateful.

)
I have read it's common for people to not give deadlines they're uncertain or not confident of hitting.
Usually better to not give one compared to giving a "Yeah we'll have it fixed by X date", then something unexpected happens (New fix ends up breaking something else) and the fix takes longer than expected.
People feel lied to, as you said, because they were told it'd be done by X date, and get upset when that date passes and the fix isn't out yet. (Even though it might be something that was discovered mid-way through to be hard to fix.)
On the subject of council events, from what I have read, while modders HAVE fixed the problem, the fix was a bit of a workaround. There's some new system that triggers certain actions including council events, and this new script or whatever is broken and not working right. The modders have, IIRC, fixed it by making it use the old system again. It's a workaround, and what really needs to be done is fixing the new script.
I'm getting a little impatient myself, but I imagine it's usually better for one big bugfix update which fixes most of the issues instead of like 8 smaller updates fixing only 1 or 2 issues at a time. (And some of the fixes end up breaking other stuff until the next mini-update)
I just think some of the issues could use a hotfix though as they're somewhat major.
People also get annoyed by radio silence and vague statements. It would be pretty unusual for a company to say "We'll never promise any dates, because someone might get upset if we can't deliver on time."
We also know that that isn't really Paradox's policy. They give dates and deadlines all the time. The release date for CK3 was announced ages ahead, for example.
As for the "workaround" - the modders restored it to the way it was before, when it worked just fine. If it's "a bit of a workaround" to set it up the way it has been for the entire history of the game until three weeks ago, and which works perfectly, then I guess we can call it a workaround.
