There are a sht ton of bugs reported. Are there any hotfixes required? Have they even talked about an upcoming patch? As i read it most complaints are more about the too graphics focused content of Royal Court
From my completely subjective and personal experience, CK3 is currently in the most unstable state since its release. The funny thing - instead of a single egregious bug that everyone can rally around with torches and pitchforks, there are only minor bugs here and there. But there are lots of them. An ungodly amount lurking in almost every game system, some even re-breaking things that were already fixed. They won't ruin your playthrough. They will just slowly (but steady) suck all the joy from it - it is hard to play more than a few in-game years without encountering an irritating bug. There are a sht ton of bugs reported.
I thing I've noticed that is potentially game ruining is that traits, of all kinds and not just the ones encouraged by the new traditions, appear way more often and include things like four years getting gout or become in a witch in public. They won't ruin your playthrough.
They have explicitly said this, in I believe One Proud Bavarian's review of the DLC.Has the remote work taken its toll?
They also said that the 3D court was the most complex things they've worked on for the franchise and stated that difficulties they were having with it was one of the reasons for the delay.Did they spend too much time hacking together the 3D scenes in an inappropriate engine?
Will there be any bug fixes before the dev diary, @PDX_Pariah ?Howdy all,
Friendly Local Community Manager here to inform everyone of news and keep you all up to date in the dealings of the Dev Team.
We are currently working very hard to make sure that the feedback, suggestions, and any problems that you fine folk have reported are being processed and put to the best use!
With that in mind, we are not going to have a Dev Diary this week or most likely next week.
WE ARE AIMING TO HAVE A DEV DIARY FOR YOU MID-MARCH IF ALL GOES ACCORDING TO PLAN!
If you have any questions or would like to post something further, please do not hesitate to post in the proper Sub-Forums and we will be more than happy to investigate and work on!
In the meantime, we hope you are enjoying Royal Court as much as we are.

I've subjectively found this expansion release to be pretty smooth with no major bugs, but I only now realized that councillor events seem to have completely disappeared and that should probably be fixed ASAP.
That's honestly pretty hard to believe, because those traits have a maximum age limit, meaning that in a game without mods, the trait will automatically disappear at age 16 or higher.Another bug I've seen crop up a lot on Reddit is some children fail to convert their childhood trait into an education trait. No mods are apparently involved.

I could believe there's no modding involved if the adult had neither an education trait nor a childhood trait. I wouldn't be surprised if the people in question modded the game files directly and forgot about it.
But otherwise, yeah, there's a ton of bugs, just look at your error log after playing, it can get pretty big. Especially if you have a royal court.
You're right about the fact that there is an event that gives the education trait and removes all traits and modifiers related to childhood, actually.Oh okay, I thought it was an event that is supposed to fire that converts the childhood trait into an education trait, which knowing about events failing to fire for councillors, it got me thinking maybe the two were related if we're seeing a bunch of events failing to get called up.
darn, was hoping for a smaller patch for polish
i would've thought the same, but i dont think that will happen. the patch in march better be huge, fixing a ton of bugs alongside other improvements. this is actually ridiculous. 5 weeks to fix bugs/post dlc patch? (if it goes according to plan)I hope they could give us emergency patch with just the councilor fix before march because the tasks bug is critical and cannot wait until march
I think it will be a slightly larger patch, with grandeur and artifacts rebalance, QoL UI improvements, and so on. I also bet that the mid-march dev diary will be the first one of the small DD series and the actual patch will be released in April. They stated some time ago that having fewer (but bigger) patches is the preferred model for CK3 because of internal management issues. May have something to do with worker mistreatment allegations - having to release something twice per month can be really taxing for the mental health in the long run.i would've thought the same, but i dont think that will happen. the patch in march better be huge, fixing a ton of bugs alongside other improvements. this is actually ridiculous. 5 weeks to fix bugs/post dlc patch? and that release schedule would be perfectly fine pre dlc. but the dlc caused a lot of problems. the reason i quit pre dlc was because i mentally couldnt play another campaign knowing how much the culture system would improve all of them as well as the rest of royal court.I think it will be a slightly larger patch, with grandeur and artifacts rebalance, QoL UI improvements, and so on.
