The realm rejoices as Paradox Interactive announces the launch of Crusader Kings III, the latest entry in the publisher’s grand strategy role-playing game franchise. Advisors may now jockey for positions of influence and adversaries should save their schemes for another day, because on this day Crusader Kings III can be purchased on Steam, the Paradox Store, and other major online retailers.
Hold on. Does this mean you can't assign commanders manually anymore?Randomly assigns units and Commanders to random junk.
I believe someone found why this happens and it just hasn't been fixed by Paradoxbtw defend in holy wars work only for player, AI cant invite people for defend their faith
its a very strange abuse when you start over and over again Holy wars agaings a 3 barons-country
It does not, you can still freely assign them.Hold on. Does this mean you can't assign commanders manually anymore?
Good to hear.It does not, you can still freely assign them.![]()
someone found it in 1.0. Code in game files is not ready, and in 1.2 not fixed.. why ? huhI believe someone found why this happens and it just hasn't been fixed by Paradox
Please, return this feature.- You can no longer manually add Gender Law exceptions to your held titles
The AI's habits of wedding off female dynasty members can be controlled with the Matrilineal Marriage game rule now. Please, return this feature.
It is totally impossible control your vassals dynasties, when you have Equal "view on gender" religion. Previously, there are possible to add Male preference law to vassal title, and through this way to save territory under some dynasty(and vassal dynasty at all!). But now vassals just simply marry off their first daughter(who is privileged child and will get all titles) for any first male bastard with Base Origin Level of Splendor.
...but this game rule affects only ruler and his child's.The AI's habits of wedding off female dynasty members can be controlled with the Matrilineal Marriage game rule now.![]()
Use the "Always" option:...but this game rule affects only ruler and his child's.
Simply example, which I already seen twice - there are some 60-old-age ruler, who have 30-old-age childs, with 5-old-age granddaughter as privileged child(she will become privileged in future). All of them from "Good Dynasty".
And 60 years ruler marry off his granddaughter, with usual marriage, for any first bastard. Good controlling, I will be said perfect.
That's not work.Use the "Always" option:
"AI characters will arrange matrilineal marriages for all female Dynasty members unless target belongs to a Reputable Dynasty, an Equal realm, or are strong rulers"
What setting do you have for the Matrilineal Marriage game rule? That's not work.
Duchess Catherine(dead "red" dynasty, with just one live member - she himself) marry off her daughter(daughter will get one Duchy-Tier title after mother's death), from my "yellow" dynasty, to some-another trash "blue" dynasty with usual marriage. Children's from this marriage will be from blue dynasty, and them after get Duchy-Tier title. And as result, my dynasty will lose one Duchy after yellow daughter dies.
Why Catherine from "red" marry off as usual her daughter? Blue has a ten times smaller army, and lower tier realm. Just because blue has Insignificant splendor, instead Base Level at red? I don't know, them all like bastards, compared with my Famous yellow dynasty.
And I already see, how nobodies unknowns will break up my vassal dynasties with analogical ways. There are impossible predict all in-game situations, so please just return to players possibility control what they can and play their own roleplay.
Ahh, you about game rule? Default. What setting do you have for the Matrilineal Marriage game rule?![]()
That's why. Set it to "Always" and that should resolve your issue.Ahh, you about game rule? Default.
How? Started in 9th century, now at 13th.That's why. Set it to "Always" and that should resolve your issue.![]()
I don't think you can change it once the game has started, unfortunately. How? Started in 9th century, now at 13th.
And I don't saying, about turning on this option to "always" also restrict player into his possibilities.
You have to start a new game or edit save files. If you feel the always game rule is too restrictive for the player, then you'll probably have to find a mod that caters to what you want. I've seem a couple out there for previous versions, maybe they're still getting updated or simply work in every version. How? Started in 9th century, now at 13th.

Okay, seems you or not understand my issue, or my sarcasm, or may be both. So let me write clearly - patches needs to add game feature, not removing them. Then don't disguise sarcasm in questions in a written format. There's no tone. The game is what it is, they'll add or remove as they see fit and with luck they'll use good feedback from the player. Either play it as it is, mod it or don't play it. There are no "shoulds".Okay, seems you or not understand my issue, or my sarcasm, or may be both. More that, this is not "just my personal problem" - as another people like my first post, seems them also have the same problem.
Probably both, to be honest. What feature are you claiming was removed with this patch?Okay, seems you or not understand my issue, or my sarcasm, or may be both. So let me write clearly - patches needs to add game feature, not removing them. Isn't it?
