Wait I didn't write that the quote isn't mine!Yeah because a tiny flavour pack with new outfits and a few events is meaningful DLC that made fundamental additions to the game right?

You don't get it, we all love the type of games they have made in the past, there are no other companies who make the games like this, so when they start getting greedy amd also release breadcrumbs as "Content" and want to double thr prize we all get angry because we don't want them to become Activision and water down their titles to arcade games and money grabs.People in here are reacting like they announced they were going to retroactively charge our credit cards for past purchases. I realize I'll get downvoted to oblivion and called an apologist for not jumping on the boycott bandwagon but might I suggest... I dunno, just not buying things if you think the price is too high?
So do you guys think anyone from Paradox is actually going to answer our questions on the reason behind this move, or is this basically just a place for us to pointlessly scream?
You could have at least sticked it on the main site of Paradox Forum (in "Featured Content") like You do for Dev Diaries, tho.Normally this post would actually be an infraction, but I will let it slide for one important reason that I want everyone reading this thread to think about:
Are these 10 pages devoid of criticism? No.
There's quite a lot of criticism in this thread. That is allowed. We just don't allow unnecessary toxicity, or attacks on devs. If you don't know the difference, then that's on you. This thread is not about how we moderate the forum, and if anyone comments on it anymore, that will be a major infraction. This thread is not about that. If you have feedback or feel the need to talk about that, my inbox is open. Now please, get back on topic, but stay kind.
Spot on!I remember when Paradox went public, some people rejected the idea that over the long run they'd start profit maximising over the old company culture. Well it's been happening bit by bit over the last 2/3 years but here's probably one of the most egregious examples. Retrospectively doubling the price of content light expansions for no reason other than 'we think they should cost more'. Here's an idea - if you want to increase the share price, how about releasing more CKIII content and sorting out your 3rd party publishing arm, which seems to release a dud for every moderate success and hasn't had a proper hit since Magicka.
My criticism is valid, yours is notI find this a rather gross exaggeration.
There have been multiple events of severe criticism (i.e. Stellaris 3.0 update) where a lot of criticism did not get deleted. A whole lot of aggressive, offensive or insulting posts have been deleted, whether they included valid criticism or not, but there was plenty of criticism still left intact, if it was not also insulting the developers or other community members. And sometimes quite severe criticism at that.
There are still people who regularly complain about the Stellaris 3.0 update and think it has been a major misstep, but their posts don't get deleted, if they are not insulting anyone, but are merely stating an opinion on a game design decision. Whether with added reasoning or not is irrelevant.
The tone is what gets your posts deleted, not the criticism in itself.
You got your answer in the post above. "Stay kind while we rob you"So do you guys think anyone from Paradox is actually going to answer our questions on the reason behind this move, or is this basically just a place for us to pointlessly scream?
We already got gay marriage in game after 20 petitions asking for it, even tho ck2 got tonnes of bugs due to itDon't worry they'll release a Pride Pack @ $13.99 cause that was important for medieval Europe

Regardless of what you believe about that particular topic, it is not the topic of this discussion. We're here to discuss the nearly doubling of the price of flavor pack DLC for CK3.Its a perfectly valid criticism. Do you think that way of life was accepted in medieval times? If I want to play a medieval game I don't want modern messages forced into it
Nah man, the whole point is getting what we pay for yes?Regardless of what you believe about that particular topic, it is not the topic of this discussion. We're here to discuss the nearly doubling of the price of flavor pack DLC for CK3.
I have bought nearly every Paradox title, I love most the games you've made despite their many flaws. When we buy Paradox games we basically know what we're signing up for at this point. A buggy but hopefully still fun base game that you then build off of one DLC at a time. DLC that becomes integral and downright necessary to the game. Plus it gives Modders more tools to better their content and thus your product as a whole.
Now you're nearly doubling the price of flavor packs and giving us no good reason for it other than some ambiguous wording about the value increasing. The value increasing how? Future flavor pack DLC being 91% better than it has been? DLC which you have already released having 91% more value because suddenly you've said it does?
