Thanks to modding team. You really make this game much more fun. I just hope you feel appreciated enough.

I'm glad you think so! Mostly we only hear from people with problems or things they'd like to see added/changed -- it's difficult to tell sometimes whether there are people out there actually enjoying the mod, or what kind of experience they have with it. :)

Just updated to patch 4.01.51 (from 4.0.1.5)
My vassals still can't fight a faction revolt against me, the cb is invalid message still appears just after they declare. The fix seems to have worked for other rulers though (noticing a lot more revolts, some I know to be faction related). I know the notes say its save compatible but maybe it requires a new game to fix all aspects of faction rebellion?

Thanks for the amazing mod, can't play ck2 without it. :) I'd be happy to provide save if needed but I guess this issue is already known/can be recreated (if its not a faulty install at my end).

If there's a version that becomes invalid, I'll need a save -- ideally just before they're about to declare (or after they do, but the war hasn't invalidated yet). I would ask that you first verify you've actually updated and have the correct checksum, however.

And this is the sort of thing that should really go in the Bug Reports thread, please.

first, that's why steam workshop has stats panel. 29 000 subscribers is a HUGE number.

second, people complaining is a good thing. people usually complain about things they enjoy, e.g. "Mmmm, this burger is really amazing, i just wish this bar had better selection of beer."

I can't go back to vanilla cause of this mod^^

yup, i find it weird when people are discussing how something is broken in CK2, and then i realize they're playing vanilla. poor bastards...
WoL is the prime example :D

I tend to prefer the alternate-reality conversions (GoT, AtE, etcetera.) over the actual historical default but that might just have to change so I can keep enjoying this.

From my 600 hours of CK2 I used Ck2+ in about 550 hours. I dont even know how base game looks like.
So believe me I definetely enjoy this mod.
I hope there will be Stellaris+ :)

Yep, me too.
Though no pressure team, I am pretty sure a bunch of enthusiasts will assemble, even if it isn't the exact same constellation as over here.

My main problem with vanilla CK2 is that there are a whole lot of awesome features, of which each and everyone feel badly executed, poorly balanced, or just only thought half-way, and then shipped.

I'm not saying they don't work, because they do, and I would never accuse Paradox to ship unfinished products. In fact, I have the same problem with most games.
(Totally different) Example: In GTAV, when I play the prologue, I try to play "good" and shoot the cops in their knees, hoping to bring them down and be able to escape. However, seconds later they just get up and continue shooting as if nothing happened. I have to actually - kill - them to be able to advance, even though that is neither realistic nor fun (for me).
In vanilla CK2, the best example is factions. They are a cool feature, but they work so silly that I am constanly reminded that I am playing a game - which kills immersion, if I have to constanly think "yeah that's that part of the code, where they omitted that check".
Some things are just not "thought to the end", as is a saying in Germany. Paradox might just not have the time/money to develop features and fill them with enough life/perfect them; but that's where CK2Plus comes in. In contrast to HIP, which changes integral parts of the gameplay (arguably to the better), but remains relatively "swallow" in terms of gameplay content, I feel CK2plus just fills in all the blank spaces, corrects all the mistakes vanilla CK2 made, and "thinks to the end" (I don't know how to properly express this in English, sorry XD) whatever ideas the Paradox devs had.

There, that concludes my rant about why this mod is pretty awesome.

I've played CK2+ I think since 2012. The only times I'd consider playing vanilla is for a big MP game or if the mod is out of date after a major DLC patch.

People bothering to report their bugs or other issues usually means they have interest in the mod and wish to see it improve even more.

Hi there! I am trying to install the mod via the Steam Workshop, but it won't download the files?? I "subscribed" to the mod in the Crusader Kings II workshop. But my "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Crusader Kings II\mod" directory is empty, and the CK2 launcher won't even let me select the "mods" tab. It is also not showing any signs of download activity in the Steam program, or the CK2 launcher. Is there something else I need to do?

Download it manually. Quicker, simpler, easier.

Extract the CK2Plus folder and .mod file into My Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\\mod and start the game normally. You'll now be able to select the mod in the launcher.

EDIT: To DL manually, click "Manual Download" on the first post of this thread.

Do I need to unsubscribe from the steam workshop version of the mod, if i instead install manually as you described?
No, but I'd do it.

Otherwise I think you might end up with a duplicate of the mod (if you can get Steam to actually download the mod from the Workshop). Not that it really matters though, but it might confuse you.

hi guys, first up I'd love to thank you for all the hard work, the mod is amazing and now I can't play without it.

I was wondering, is there a way for me to disable the cadet system? (even if it means messing with mod files) I love creating enormous dynasties and it kills me to lose the dozens of members whenever a branch splinters off.

Thanks again for the great work.
