I noticed that the celtic pagans only had a devil worshiping society to join as and I understand that letting them in the Hermetic Society would just be lazy. Why not give them their own monastic order that is more glorious than pious. So that they can be diametrically opposed to Balor's ilk.

Naming convention I'd like to throw in Bards College since Celtic is a particularly heroic religion you gotta brush up on your oratory skills to make your tall tales believable or the Warriors Circle to hammer home how heroic the celts are. Their currency is Glory that is gained by martial stat, heroic traits like wroth or just and other traits like poet or scared. And their special actions could be sparring with another character to level their fighting skill but runs the risk of injury or even death.

As giving them an order dedicated to heroic deeds make sense thematically.
Oh yes, we have plans concerning the celtic societies *mad cackle*

For the converter, do you think Hellenic getting holy sites [like Coptic] would make sense as a mechanic? (Or should they just get patron deities [cults?] like Norse or Hindu?)

We have no plans on developing the EU4C in-house. If someone else does the work, they're free to share it with us and we'll add it, but otherwise it's on maintenance mode only.

not really a "suggestion" but also not a bug by any means so I figured this would be the best spot to mention it. Belo Ozero is "Chud" when under finnish control even though there's a proper Chud next to it. Easily seen by going between 769 and 867. High chief of Chud has both Chuds since he's finnish, but I believe holmgard takes the one that becomes belo ozero in 867. tl;dr: two counties can have the same name and I'd suggest just making one always belo ozero even if it's achronistic to prevent confusion

not really a ck2+ suggestion, but you guys might wanna nerf it anyway. A super easy cheese to change to Primogeniture succession instantly is to marry a Muslim woman, Secretly+Openly Convert to Muslim for 250 piety, get the Iqta government and then marry a 2nd original-religion wife, Secretly+Openly Convert back to original religion. All your vassals act like nothing has happened, except now you have Open Succession all the way until you pass Late Feudal Administration, when you automatically change to Primogeniture. Very OP cheese. Perhaps even more cheese are available with unlimited religion changing...

A simple fix like openly changing religion once per lifetime or once every 50 years or so would do the trick

The problem clearly lies with Open Succession being the only succession law available to Iqta government rulers, just as Merchant Republics have many hardcoded problems.

not really. My takeaway was that the main problem lies in the ease of changing religions. Another example would be to go Muslim for 10~ or so years, have 4 wives and a billion kids, then switch back to Christianity to go Agnatic-Cognatic and have every single one of those kids continue your dynasty, daughters included. The possibilities are endless, really, I just haven't tested them yet.

Thats why a soft/hard limit to rulers changing religions in a lifetime would IMO be the best solution

I know that the coa of England and some of it's duchies change whether William conquer England or not, but I wish it wasn't just that specific character : If I conquer normandy as a norse characer in the viking bookmark and then later on conquer england as norman, the coa should reflect that instead of just staying saxon.

So yeah... I seem to be toning it down on every release.
Haha fair enough, definitely just bad RNG. Given it only affects older characters anyway it's not a big deal just a bit... unusual? Thanks for responding and all the great work you all do on the mod!!

Well, you know. Valar morghulis and stuff like that. I.e. Death by snu-snu is a better way to go than a manure powered inn explosion.

Paulicians are strong. They can raid, they can declare holy wars on all other religions, they have defensive combat bonuses and they can raise zealots regardless of government form. They're an organized religion, a member of the powerful Christian religious group and a heresy of the measly Apostolic faith that stands little chance to intervene against any Paulician ruler.

I feel Paulicians could use a bit of nerf-hammer for balancing, so would it be possible to eg. make them suffer decadence like Muslims? It would fit the theme of them being a rather non-worldly bunch (by what little is known of them).

Wendish is not the best name for the culture of Pomerania. Historically it would have been better to break it up into the Lusatian culture (for the Lusatians), the Polabian (to the west of the Oder) and the Kashubian (to the east to the Oder). Wendish culture could be formed after the unification of the whole area by one ruler. I think that it would be a good idea for each of these cultures to have their own kingdom (Luastia, Polabia, Kashubia/Pommerania) that could be united in some bigger kingdom via decision. Chelm/Kulm should not be a de jure part of the Pommerania in the early middle ages. It shlud belong to Kujawy or Prussia. Instead I would add the Lubusz/Lebus. Plauen and other de jure pommeranian provinces were probably still slavic and independent in the Charlamagne startdate, not germanic (saxon or frankish).

If anyone thinks it would be worthwhile to make a change in this region, I would be happy to help. I'm rather weak modder, but I could prepare more detailed changelogs and materials.

I was wondering if it is possible that the Roman Empire can have the unique... Flag shield(I don't know what it is called) that the Carolingian Empire / HRE gets? A two headed eagle fits for the Reformed Roman Empire, and makes it less generic. Reforming the Roman Empire.... You've EARNED it.
