I'm not certain I can create the same effect if the land is given to a courtier, but I'll look into it.
Yeah those static modifiers don't make any sense.Just found your mod, tried it... And first question.
Why -1 to all stats all the way from age 1 to age 50? and Martial stat always gets negative modifier?
Why minus to vassal opinion till age 50?
It's really confusing.
Let me know what you think![]()
I'm not sure why old age should give penalties to Martial. Personal Combat Ability - sure, but why Martial? His strategy/tactical genius is hit by his age? 55 years old and -3 to Martial?
Essentially this.I think its a left over from pre-WOL which introduced Personal Combat Ability. Martial back then sort of covered everything
Nice!Seems reasonable enough. We'll add it in for the next update and see how it goes.
Um...You know that's a vanilla feature of the Legacy of Rome DLC right? Unless you mean reforming in some other way? Also i think it'd be interesting to have a system for reforming the Western Empire, perhaps as a titular title with special features when a ruler creates it. I think there's a mod like that on the Steam workshop already.
I would be greatly interested of two traits to help fill out the 'regular' pagan faiths (IE: Baltic, Suomenusko, Tengri, and West African). One, a 'Raider' trait could function as a more generic version of the Viking trait, because just because you're not a norseman, it shouldn't mean you can't get a good reputation going as a seasoned raider, even if you're just a Irish cattle-thief or a Sami tribesman who's leading a few hundred people out in the snow, to attack other Sami tribesmen. The other is a more general 'Shaman' trait, which, much like how the 'Raider' trait is a watered-down version of the 'Viking' trait, a 'Shaman' trait could be a watered-down version of the 'Druid' trait, for most of the same reasons as having a Druid around in the first place.
The new holy war system is good, but currently there's the drawback that you always have to pay the piety cost if you are the head of the religion (eg Caliph, reformed pagans). As it seems odd that the head would not grant sanction to themselves, shouldn't the piety cost be either waived or reduced for them?
Ah! I meant to add that the religious head would always have to pay 100 Piety, regardless of whether they've warred within the last five years, but I think I forgot to add that in.
It won't be free, however.
Must not have played the mod much yet? That's been a feature for several versions and I just added the Carolingian Empire to it a couple versions ago.I have a proposition regard of the roman empire restoration. It would be good to creat a chain of event to recreat the western roman empire (which fell in 476) with the Carolingian empire or the HRE. For this you would have to controle some duchies in Spain, in England or even in Africa (retake Carthage for exemple) and to controle the city of Rome. It would be also great to have a decision to creat a personal guard (like the Varangian Guard), to be able to restore the roman culture and to create a new unified religion when we enact the "mend the reat schisme decision".
I know that I'm asking a lot and I'm sorry but it makes me angry that the only way to restore the Roman Empire is by using the eastern half of it.
And I want to tell you that I love your work, it makes me rediscover the game event if I'm aldready at 500 hours on it![]()
