Hello, I am currently playing an early game in Africa and trying to create duchy. However, upon conquering all of the chiefdoms, it still wont let me do so.

I checked the requirements for creating a duchy, and the requirements read as so:

One of the following must be true:
(x) Duchy of Sahara is currently held by someone.
(x) Cheif iixzi's rank is higher than a count.

im using the "new world order" setting from ck2+, so of course, nobody holds by default either the duchy, nor can anyone be higher than a count. I could also be dumb and forgetting some core concept of gameplay, but it seems more like a bug..

my Checkum is ISRM without the mod and im using the following mods in conjunction with CK2+ version 4.07 BETA6 Giving me a checksum of CPLI:

  • Abdication +
  • Advanced Trade systems (CK2+)
  • BLG for CK2+
  • Court Assistant for CK2 plus
  • Patrum Skuta CK2+

No one but a specific culture can make the Sahara duchy. W/e the culture is for the area

This was the solution. I had to expand northward and create another dutchy before i could create one in the Sahara. Im dreadfully sorry to have wasted your time, this really wasnt obvious to me.
It is unique to this duchy so you couldn't know.
Normally you can create duchies as a count, but the Sahara (it being a desert and all) should not be able to "centralize" on its own, hence the additional requirement here. At least as far as I understood it.

It is unique to this duchy so you couldn't know.

That's the intention, yeah. Otherwise it would become a duchy rather quickly

In the latest beta I think there is a problem with trade posts. As a republic I cant build a trade post even though I have met all requirements. It is just grayed out.

I reinstalled the mod using the installer version and it seems the issue has fixed itself. Even in my save game in which there are bunch of republics they all are building trade posts now. I was using 2 mods alongside plus - enclave independence and the great trade league. But I enabled them now and I can still build trade posts so I do not think they are conflicting.

Yes it seems like my plus mod folder was corrupted heavily. Comparing the number of contained files to the installer version it looks like my older installation was missing approximately 40 files. I must have closed winrar or something during the file transfer. I managed to play almost 100 years in the game though but as soon as I load my save game on the new installation it crashes after few weeks/months in game.

I guess that is sort of a good testament for stability if it can run that long with so much missing

Something is up with sieges and castle defences as they are ridiculously easy. For example.

For a 5.5 fort level castle

Base : -40%
Fort level : x1
Outnumbered: ×1.123

When 2500 peasant besiege 1500 defenders. Moral is lost at -44.9% per 12 days.

Making the defences worse than useless.

I have this strange China bug, my launcher Checksum is PLQA, ingame is VREX
So, when I try to use Grace actions, i have this
I'm not using any other mod
