Is there a way to go from merchant republic to feudal and vice versa? Either as an independent liege decision or a vassal overthrow plot/faction?

IIRC this exists in the agot mod, so it's definitely possible, although I can understand the hesitation if the game-over rate is high. No, the game sometimes decides to game-over when switching between government types.
Yes, I'm using game-over as a verb.

I don't know if this is the best place to ask this but here goes. I'm trying to make my mod compatible with CK2+, and the only issue I've run into is that for my event_modifiers I use icon = 56 which is the green horseshoe in vanilla. With CK2+ that icon turns into a red money symbol. Where can I find the icon indexes for CK2+ so I can make the appropriate changes please?
Thank you, now i feel just silly not looking there lol. There's a note in our 00_event_modifiers file.
# NOTE: Every vanilla modifier with icons between <44 and 70] needs to be updated to Plus strip by adding 26
# NOTE: Every vanilla modifier with icons after <96 to be updated to Plus strip by adding 31
So, 56+26=82.
Also... it's in the list.
# 82 - Horseshoe - 83
If you're not sure, don't try.Which file/s should I delete in order to restore the vanilla imprisonment decision? By that I mean the one that allows to move your prisoner from house arrest to the oubliette at will once imprisoned.

You need to make a mod. Never alter vanilla files or Plus files directly
They were removed from plus.I can't find the decision to start a religious cult, where is it?

3 questions. Playing as a Tengri Avar Khan of Serbia. Using RT submod.
1) When a Chalcedonian Preachers comes to preach in your lands and you let them, what happens? I let 2 different ones do so. It says they like me, but nothing else happens.I would eventually like to convert to Chalcedonian religion.
2) Also one day, in my intrigue tab I received a decision to convert to Judaism. No clue what that might be. I have no Jews in my realms, never had any events surrounding Jews. If any one can shed any light on this, maybe similar situations.
3) Also, from my current character, apart from becoming Chalcedonian, is it possible to become HRE, I'd like to remain Avar though. If so how, or is it the same pathway as vanilla?
Thanks in Advance for any Insights.
The Kingdom Lockout Law suddenly popped up in my game. Why is this a thing and did the "fix" section mean to readd this aspect of the game or did it mean to remove it? Because it doesn't make any sense to me why it's popped up or what it is supposed to do.
Also, if this is a thing added by the Mod, I noticed there isn't a Game Rule to disable it. Could that be added in a later version of the Mod? In addition, is there a way to disable it in the Mod's Code in the meantime?

I think it stops vassals, like the Aigolfings in 769 start, from forming kingdoms in the Carolingian Empire.
Oooooohhhh, that makes so much sense. I was starting as the Avars in a playthrough and I took Bavaria. I was able to make the Kingdoms of Poland and Wallachia, but not Bavaria, and that explains why. Thank you for that part of the explanation...
So when does this wear off? Anyone know?
It prevents kingdom tier titles to be formed in an empire.
That's the default law. The exception to this are provinces that ERE and roman empire can create via decisions.
Another exception are the "Grand duchies" of HRE. This also includes the kingdom of bohemia.
Now, if you have the default law it also means you get a slight vassal count bonus. But not by much. So this will prevent imperial growth at some point.
The second level of the law allows both you and your vassals to create kingdoms. At this point the vassal limit matters far less because you can simply shove a bunch of vassals under a king and be done with it. However, your vassals who go too powerful can challenge you more easily.
The third level of the law allows only the emperor to create kingom tier titles. With this you get the benefit of having kingdom tier vassals without them being able to willy-nilly usurp and create kingdoms effectively giving you complete control over the realm hierarchy.
This is a feature from the mod. I don't know if vanilla has something similar.
