What factions are they in?
CK2+ specific factions (e.g. Tradition) are NOT forbidden, so that would be WAD.
Only vanilla "do as we say or insta war!!!1"-factions are forbidden in your case.

i see. Also, are the devs still updating? Would they be offended if I broke the mod down into modules that people can download separately?

edit: oh and last question, is there any benefit to going Orthodox at all? Now everyone can mend Schism, and Coptic/Apostolic have their schools of thought and desert fathers, Catholicism still has the Pope, and as Orthodox I'm just sitting here wondering whats in it for me....

You a dev? thats sad. I mean I will respect their wishes but i know there are people who wish to stick to vanilla while using some of the CK2+ features

Stick to vanilla? ... ugh....

Would they be offended if I broke the mod down into modules that people can download separately?

Don't do it.

Since there are now game rules, the mod is already pretty cusomizable.
And if someone does not want to use something, they can simply disable it themselves or make a submod.
Speaking of which: If you want to give an option to disable something specific that isn't already affected by a game rule, why don't you make a submod instead?
We already have an official no India, and I think there used to be a "reduced traderoutes" one - you could just make a similar one, and I think the devs wouldn't mind.

But re-distributing the mod in pieces might not only make you look like the author (which you might not intend, i know), but also generate problems when people come back here for support, and use a totally different mod setup that might experience problems that the combined mod does not.

Bingo, but also not all parts of + are necessarily are ours to give free reign for others to re-distribute willy nilly

hmmmm any reason why my crown authority seems to sometimes drop one level upon succession? And its really inconsistent too. Bug or working or intended? I must say some of these changes are so subtle its kinda annoying

edit: ok update, it only seems to be in effect when playing the byzantine empire. Crown authority always changes to "Low Crown Authority", no matter which level it was previously at.

it depends on the coronated/strong basileus trait.

it depends on the coronated/strong basileus trait.

Care to explain?

These are my findings:

1) 1st emperor, Coronated basileus dies at Medium CA. CA drops to Low

2) 2nd emperor, Strong basileus dies at High CA. CA drops to Low

3) 3rd emperor, Coronated basileus dies at Low CA. CA remains Low

It seems like a bug

I think it jumps back up only for strong basileus.

EDIT: yup, only strong basileus gets CA up again.

OHHHHHHHHH....... so working as intended.

Wow. So turns out whether or not people turn up at your coronation affects Crown Authority.... this is big. Like, game changing. I think players deserve to know

EDIT: Also, "Prove your rule" does not raise Crown Authority. Only being crowned as a Strong Basileus does

Just a little suggestion, but what do you think of "feudal elective" for tribal government when they have a medium organization or more?
In my opinion, it can show that the tribal kingdom is more accepted by the vassal in it but they want also more power (like the fact that the more you have tribal organization, the more your council is powerful) :D

Before I undertake this long and arduous process, is there a "destroy the papacy" option that a heresy that lacks a religious head can use after it's become the dominant faith? I don't want Catholic just building authority because the one Catholic left on the planet has declared himself pope and has high diplomacy and piety.

im new so i don't know much, but I took over Rome and Pope is still there. Also, if anything Catholic authority is even stronger now because setting up AntiPope doesn't decrease Moral Authority anymore....

yeah i must say the changes to Catholicism and Islam are a bit sad and I might be making a submod soon to change a few things
