I suspect they are awaiting the next vanilla patch first, because currently checksums are still broken.Do you know more or less when CK2 + will be out from the BETA stage for the newest patch and expansion ?

I don't know if it's just me, but this update has made performance drop massively. Are y'all going to try doing anything to optimize the mod at all?

Yep. Good luck with that, but really CK2+ is more efficient already than many people realize, given its size.We actually try to streamline some files, but it's the engine that's slow. CK2+ actually doesn't add that much.
Just a general, related question: Did anyone experience an improvement of game speed after switching to a newer/faster CPU (I'm still on a Phenom II X4 @3.2 Ghz)? Like, is it possible to avoid this slowdown by improving the (single-core) performance, or is this really a "software" bottleneck?
Ah, good to know that slowdowns are not universal and hardware-dependent!CK2 doesn't make good use of more than 1 core. I am pretty sure it does use more than one core, but it does so very poorly. fwiw I've never run into these slowdowns really and I use an i5-3570 for basically that exact reason since not many games make effective use of more cores. Well, not of the ones I play anyways.
Also I run the game + OS on an SSD, that has caused noticeable performance improvement as well.
I didn't have it running on my SSD so I suppose that was probably the reason for the huge slow down. It just felt like between the last version of CK2 and this one my performance went to poop for some inexplicable reason.
EDIT: Yeah, even while running it on an SSD it runs significantly slower than it did on the last update. Honestly, I don't really notice a difference between the two. It'll be smooth for like a few in game days and then it hangs up and this activity just keeps repeating. It really didn't behave like that on the last update and I have no idea why it's behaving like that now.
Bruh, with the most recent update, people have tested over and over and proven that the current version of CK2 is faster than when the game first came out. It's probably Tibet and the new Chinese shit running in the background. Don't expect an engine update to actually make somewhat good use of your CPU from Paradox anytime soon.
That's not really an achievement. Oh well, it seems I was wrong. Still, the engine is a long way from actually being somewhat optimized.the current version of CK2 is faster than when the game first came out.
