Hi, could somebody help me or point me to the right subforum? I'm having issues with a fresh installation of CKII+ version 2.03.1 and I haven't been able to find an answer on google. The install instructions say that there should be a file called CK2plus.mod in the mod folder, but there is neither the file nor the folder in the stuff I downloaded. Did I download everything I need? And if my question is better suited for another thread direct me there and I'll ask them. Thanks!

Be sure you download the right version from the first page and first post of this thread. Then open the .zip package, you will find there one folder called "CK2Plus-2.031". Dont extract it, just open it, and inside you will have all parts and modules of the mod, grouped in folders and .mod files (CK2Plus, CK2Plus.mod, CK2Plus_Divided_Muslims etc. etc.). Then just extract all those files (not the "CK2Plus-2.031" folder that groups them, but all files and folders that are inside) into "mod" folder in your Crusader Kings II game folder or the Crusader Kings II in My Documents folder.
This CK2Plus.mod file only enables to activate the CK2Plus mod when you start the game (and select dlcs / mods), so if you will be able to see and select CK2Plus mod and its modules in mods section of start menu then everything is 100% ok.

That's not how it works in vanilla ck2. As is usually the case, you can check using a France 1066 Stamford Bridge game.

Phillipe (King of France)= Agnatic Primogeniture
William (Duke of Aquitaine)= Agnatic-Cognatic Gavelkind
Wiliam (Duke of Normandy)= Agnatic-Cognatic Gavelkind
Robert (Duke of Burgundy)= Agnatic-Cognatic Gavelkind
Etienne (Count of Bourges)= Agnatic-Cognatic Primogeniture

William or his successor will change out of Gavelkind eventually (all of them will). Vassals titles have always had their own succession laws and they aren't locked to the Realm law, even in vanilla. Can't restore what was never there. The HRE is even more obvious because no vassals have Elective.

Edit: I would like to see it so a game could work with Cognatic, but it's more of an issue with Family versus Dynasty and that's hard coded. In Shattered World with Gender Equality on, you only have 25 or so years before the whole world shifts to ag-cog. You can't change on the first ruler but the AI will do it on the next as soon as the cooldown is over.

Hmm... I didn't know it worked this way. I've never had an issue in the vanilla game with different succession laws at the duchy/county level. Gavelkind versus primogeniture doesn't concern me as much as the gender laws, though. Or, I want the AI to realize that if they're in line to inherit my throne, they should consider my succession laws and not marry off a future heir unfavorably.

I have a curious problem in my CK2+ hardcore game. I cant figure out if its vanilla or CK2+ mod thats creating the problem.

I am playing as Denmark with earliest possible start date. After a while I captured lands in Pommerania and the Jomsvikings appeared and asked if they could build a castle. Sure thing go ahead.

But it has never been possible to hire any troops from them even after 100 years. I can click the hire button but they have no troops at all. They are not hired by anyone and have never been. I was unreformed when they appeared but even when I reformed I cant hire them.

What does the tooltip say? Is this your only mod? What version? From an old save? Give specific details so we have a better clue how to approach this. Also maybe include a save game zipped.

Is there maybe some quick way to personally fix the barony cb bug (when AI dukes conquer your barony level vassals)? Right now it basically prevents player for leaving any single county under his / her control when its de jure duchy is controlled by AI, so If you already know how to solve this problem, would you mind giving some hints? Cheers

I believe you have encountered the bug concerning mercs - they raise their armies for some reason and never call them off. So open the console with the semicolon button and write 'charinfo 1'. Then press enter, look up the leader of the Jomsvikings and you should be able to see his charid in the expanded tooltip. Then go to the console once more, type 'play xxx' where xxx is the charid and you will become the guy. Then go to levies, dismiss them and using the same method revert to your original character. If that does not work, report back ;).

Didnt help anything i am afraid. When i switched to him he didnt have any levies raised.

Tooltip doesnt say anything. Its blue so you can press it but no troops are available. Its the newest version of the mod(hardcore). Started with a new game so no old save. Using Viet events and traits as only other mods.

Haven't played CK+ in ages. Is the current version ok to play? Any serious bugs?

It's fine to play, we're currently in the bug collection stage before we fix said bugs and release the next version. The only major problem is that, in the current version, there's a missing chunk out of finland that we removed for balance. We have it fixed in the next version with an alternate balance fix. The only real reason we haven't released the next version yet is because we need to get a better map in (Mod Mercator is out of date, SWMH is too much stuff, and the author of the map mod I'm considering hasn't responded yet)

EDIT: though I/we are considering a separate fork using SWMH

Where can I find the checksum to this version? I've only downloaded a couple of different mods and all had the checksum inside. Could you point me to where it can be found?

Hi,

I just installed CKII+ 2.03 (last version) on my CK II vanilla (1.11) putting the mod files in the right place (the starter shown me [Required] CKII+ (base or something like that) 2.03) and everything is okay until the game start.

I can start the game, choose my character, and even make a full look on everything. But as soon I unpause and the first day IG comes... CRASH! Desktop.

Is there a CK II 1.11 and 1.111? The link on the top post isn't the good one? I missed something? I would like to know what was wrong please, as you understood i really like to play this mod^^ (cheers to the new team!)

i believe become a king objective from Additional Objectives 2.0 is broken in the beta, I've tried it in several games in several cultures and when i achive my goal it doesn't give me the reward it just acts if i cancel the objective and i have to wait the three year fix time.

you should read carefully (the become king objective is strictly related to a dejure-kingdom (where you capital is located in?)). but reaction if you create a titular-kingdom-title should not been correct (3 years no-ambition-flag)

try with CK II 1.111 and CK+ 2.03.1

This is CK+ 2.03.1 (i downloaded it yesterday), so i presume that i don't have 1.111... strange, considering that Steam was updating CKII vanilla this week end... Anyway, this is probably this thing. Thank you very much, i come back to give some news^^

EDIT: The Checksum of the modded and bugged game was something like PLAZ or PALZ, so yes, definitely, it's a problem of version
