So: I'm not sure if this is possible, but it probably needs to be done. A major problem with this mod is that the Francian king will always declare war and take the imperial Carolingian crown, forever making Francia part of the empire. This will then subsequently make the German states, who usually rebel and are de facto independent, de jure under the imperial French crown and the Cultural Titles mod will change all of their titles to French, despite their being under German control. Is there any possible way to prevent the French from declaring war for the imperial crown?

Apparently the titles actually DO revert to German after a while. But the French continuously stealing the imperial title is still an issue.

You didn't do anything wrong. The Cultural Titles sub-mod changes the names of the Kingdoms/Duchies/Counties based on the culture of the occupying ruler. It doesn't change the display names of the ranks themselves.
But in the old CK2+ versions (and vanilla) there were localised titles like Kaiser, Earl, Doux etc. Why has that been changed?

They're still there. Remember, Kaiser is emperor not king and is only a German title.

You are right. I started a game in the Old Gods bookmark and didn't notice that the emperors are frankish and armenian, therefore not triggering the localised titles. Didn't notice that at first. Sorry :)
So, now I tried to add some localised titles for the german culture, but somehow

leave out the _catholic. see if that makes it work.

Ok i am having a problem where provinces dont change name based on ownership such as all of the provinces of Asia minor still having their greek names when the turks control them. Does anyone know what might be causing this because i have never had this problem before.

OK, it really irks me that HREmperor creates Kingdom of Lotharingia, Bavaria and Lombardy, resulting in HRE vassals being a mess. I know it is cool that AI creates Kingdoms even when it has an Empire-level title, but IMHO when holding Byzantium and HRE, it should create none. (I have already taken care of Byzantium)

I happen to disagree with you on the subject of the HRE. Byzantium, on the other hand, I have likewise taken care of in the dev build. The HRE will retain its ability to create kingdom vassals other than the Kingdom of Germany for a couple reasons. For starters, there is historical precedent for the HRE having actual vassal kingdoms. Second, the HRE is SUPPOSED to be a bit of a mess, as it's more unstable than Byzantium. The HRE stays as-is.

Hi I can't get this mod to install properly. As you can see here, I've installed the mod to the correct directory but instead of a .mod file appearing a folder has appeared. When run CK2 with this configuration the mod does not appear in the start menu. If I copy+paste the .mod files from the CK2 folder, the mod will appear in the start menu but does not work when I run it. Can anybody help me with this problem?

stupid question, are you using the cultural titles module?
I am using it but i just tried to play a game without it and it still didnt change the provinces names :( Here is what i am seeing if this gives you any help. 2014-01-06_00001.jpg

I happen to disagree with you on the subject of the HRE. Byzantium, on the other hand, I have likewise taken care of in the dev build. The HRE will retain its ability to create kingdom vassals other than the Kingdom of Germany for a couple reasons. For starters, there is historical precedent for the HRE having actual vassal kingdoms. Second, the HRE is SUPPOSED to be a bit of a mess, as it's more unstable than Byzantium. The HRE stays as-is.

Yeah, then it's kind of tedious that every time you start the game, the Emperor simply creates the titles, keeps them till the next election and then HRE turns into an elective mess. But OK, HRE is not such a problem.

Though could you at least prevent k_bohemia from creating as well? TBH, I kind of liked the past setup of having k_bohemia already formed in 1066+. Though unhistorical, Bohemian territorial integrity is sth unique inside the HRE.

Can I suggest the HRE not have more than 2 King vassals at a time, at least?

Well, the landed_titles are not so flexible, I am afraid.

Hi I can't get this mod to install properly. As you can see here, I've installed the mod to the correct directory but instead of a .mod file appearing a folder has appeared. When run CK2 with this configuration the mod does not appear in the start menu. If I copy+paste the .mod files from the CK2 folder, the mod will appear in the start menu but does not work when I run it. Can anybody help me with this problem?

In the folder you'll find the .mod file and the mod's file folder. Take them out of that folder, up one level, to the mod folder. Viola problem solved. (it's a rather common unzip error)

OK, as some people have been in the past complaining about the ahistorical behaviour of the Mongol Hordes and Timurids, I have decided to make a small fix that would prevent that.

BUT. Somehow, removing the Il-Khanate's ability to invade Cumania makes them conquer Khwarizm and stop. The only CB Hulagu will use in his life after that is the county conquest.

So, I went back to modding and removed Khwarizm from I-K target list. And suddenly, the Khanate turned to a killing monster! Also, I found that both Hordes have their capital set in Khwarizm, in 622. Not a good idea as they will attack another since the game start and the Mongol CW happened long time after their arrival from totally different reasons.

I also removed the ability to county-conquest from Hordes as long as they can tribal-warfare. Should keep them focused on conquering the world :p.

So, try if you want.

It's possible that we simply have no cultural localization in that area.
Its also in other regions. Here another screencap from a game i just started.(tried to upload 3 but it failed)2014-01-06_00002.jpg Im probably the only one having this problem or the only one that actually cares about this problem lol. EDIT:the titles for mercia and wessex are messed up as they have their norman names ( Somerset, Hereford).
