Any way you could make marriages with foreigners and distant nobles harder? Doesn't make much sense for a Spanish count to marry a Russian duke when they could marry someone from Aragon or France to expand nearby. Maybe a foreign culture and distance penalty. Also how would barons or counts from across Europe know each other existed, let alone go for someone of a totally different culture, language, religion when marrying locally would be far more convenient.


Although higher rankings like Kings and Emperors should have no problem with this given that they are the highest of nobles.

WARNING: Just found during play testing that reforming the norse faith or forming the Pontificate Maxima will cause a game over due to becoming the head of a theocracy. Will be posting a 2.06.1 tomorrow with that fix and a couple others.

I'm currently using v 2.06.2 and encountered this problem. Any chance it slipped through the update?
Besides CKII+ I'm using the 'flavourvul titular titles' and 'cultural titles' add-ons.

Since the next patch will break save game compat, I compiled a little hotfix for you so you can continue that game with the fix for that. Just extract into your mod folder and overwrite (make sure to back-up as I can't really test it or guarantee it will work)

Supply limit is tied to army organization tech and number of holdings, both of those multiply the base supply of the region.

Curious to why what is now County Down (was Ulster in Vanilla) is now known as Monaghan? There are several more appropriate names, however one is not Monaghan which was traditionally part of Oriel until the late 1500s.

Edit: I also notice Downpatrick is now the capital of Antrim, despite Downpatrick being in what is called 'Monaghan'. I realize i'm being picky, but I felt it worth pointing out.

How come the culture names have been split up into separate files?

I don't see why it matters, but it's so we can find things easier. The same reason that the religions were.

If there is anything I can do to help...anything just let me know!!! I might not have time to mod or anything like that due to military life, but I do have a few ducats laying around if the dev's team treasury is getting small due to Christmas spending. Just send me a PM and it will be done ;). I also found out that the creator of Friends and Foes has given permission to the community to go ahead and try to update that mod. So if you guys are running out of material, it might be worth scavenging :).

I might not have time to mod or anything like that due to military life, but I do have a few ducats laying around if the dev's team treasury is getting small due to Christmas spending.

As tempting as offers like this always are, Paradox has a no-money-changing-hands policy in regards to players and mod teams. Even if it's a donation.


I also found out that the creator of Friends and Foes has given permission to the community to go ahead and try to update that mod. So if you guys are running out of material, it might be worth scavenging :).

We'll look into it. Right now we have plenty on our plate though. We have come to the sudden and startling realization that we need to pretty much recode every single event in the mod before we release 3.0. It's to the point where if we add much more without doing SOMETHING it'll be unusable by all but the highest end machines. (and, admittedly, it's close to that as-is). Most of the problem is, probably, old oft-patched code so...we'll see.

I just updated my CK2 to 2.0.3 and trying to start a new game with the latest CK2+ 2.06.3 and the game crashes at the start "Adopting History" phase. Any thoughts? Many thanks!

Put it in the correct format in the bug report, otherwise there is not enough info for us to determine the cause.

they denied again .. this is super disappointing . i thought you/we all have one cause - a better CK experience .. sad times ..

The SWMH team is notoriously fickle and petty. Any mod that doesn't implement their work exactly as they have wrote it (after asking for permission), without any changes, additions, or corrections, is subject to them flipping their collective lids. In very public and name+shame fashion.
