Is there a tutorial on how to do this? (Change interface/coat of arms choices) If so maybe I could try and save you some of the work.
It seems to be working fine, in terms of crashing, but a lot of leaders seem to have problems with their titles. Like the Caliph is just named Caliph. The Ecumenical Patriarch is Ecumenical Patriarch, etc. However it recognizes I am Pharaoh at least.
I noticed the lack of names myself. I must admit I have no clue why the game refuses to show the names:(

I managed to fix the name problems of the abrahamic rulers. I posted a patch for this and some more changes in the thread.
I also finished Reign of Princes, so that's now also enabled.

Quick question.

On one my current saves, it seems the Cultural Titles optional mod included in CK2Plus has been activated somehow, and I can't get it to turn off. I figure I must have accidently clicked it on before and it stuck with that save. If I start a fresh new game without it activated, everything plays with normal titles. But this one particular save always loads up with Cultural Titles, even with the mod deselected at the start window. How do I revert it? Is it possible or is it permanent with this save now?

And as for my earlier concern about the extreme laginess, for some reason it evened itself out after the first 10 years of gameplay and never came back. It was hell for a while, but everything is working now.

- overhauled the Themata system to be compatible with the new mechanics
- added a moral authority bonus for Orthodoxy as long Byzantium exists, holds Constantinople and is Orthodox
- restored Cilicia to Muslim hands in 867
- rebalanced the Byzantine-Bulgarian war in 1000 (though while using Better Armies module)
- AI Byzantine Emperors will no longer create any Kingdom-level titles
- overhauled the post-Rum Anatolian beyliks by removing a lot of the Sultanate titles there

I have a newish computer that's just a year old, so it shouldn't be computer-related.

I deleted my mods and uninstalled CKII altogether, and then reinstalled just CKII with no mods to see if I could narrow down the lag issue. When I played CKII just by itself it was perfectly smooth at full speed and ran fine with no random freezes or pauses. I then extracted CKII+ 2.06.2 and ran the game again and the lagging and one second freezing every 10-20 seconds began again.

The pausing and lagging is bad enough to force me to not use CKII+. I'll be scrolling across the map with the mouse when suddenly the game will freeze and then it will pick back up again but halfway across the continent. I'll be dragging my mouse towards an option to click on and I'll click but the game will freeze... and I'll end up clicking on something I didn't mean to.

Probably once Christmas is over I'll be able to do more with it, hopefully before our next release.

Probably once Christmas is over I'll be able to do more with it, hopefully before our next release.

This sounds like poor event coding. Some event or number of events is taking a long time to calculate who exactly it should affect. I believe the team is currently working to optimize events, but it is understandably a long process.

Edit: After looking at that file specifically, I found a couple ways to improve the efficiency. Try this version of the file, I moved slower triggers after faster ones in the first event and a couple other events in that folder.

One of the last patches made the game automatically order the trigger (so the game will handle quicker scopes first), at least that was my understanding of one of the changelogs.

Event triggers yes, but I doubt it orders the modifier checks like in this case.
