In my game (the latest version), every Patriarch supreme gets married except the first one! Is.. it intended feature..?

Do they have Greek Rites? Priests with Greek Rites can get married before the trait is acquired, and don't lose their wife once it is, but can't get married again while they have it.

created a merchant republic in lithuania and it tells me that the federation is not a base for an empire. i am reformed nordic. i played a similar game in ireland and easily created an empire tier republic. why cant i do that as forn sidr with all dejure poland and lituan? second question is why when i give counties with only city holdings in them that that holder become a thane with wrong government type? only had this happen a few times with most working normally. never ran into any problems handing out titles in my ireland/celtic empire playthrough, but with my Federation of Lituan i am scared to give away any city holding with fear that they will randomly become a thane and feudal. any help with my understanding of these mechanics would be greatly appreciated.

If you mean the "create a custom empire" decision, it depends on what your primary title is. If there's already a titular empire title, you can't create a custom one because it would then create the possibility of duplicates.

second question is why when i give counties with only city holdings in them that that holder become a thane with wrong government type? only had this happen a few times with most working normally. never ran into any problems handing out titles in my ireland/celtic empire playthrough, but with my Federation of Lituan i am scared to give away any city holding with fear that they will randomly become a thane and feudal. any help with my understanding of these mechanics would be greatly appreciated.

Can't help you there. The republic governments are unchanged from vanilla, so it works whatever way the vanilla system works. Generally, with governments, it runs down the list and the first one that's valid it will apply (and feudal government is evaluated first). Not sure why it would give them a feudal government, seeing as cities are neither preferred nor allowed holdings for feudal, but I'd have to see it in action in order to see if there was something we could do about it -- meaning we'd need a save where we can reproduce this, provided you have the correct checksum.

Rylock thank you for the response. i'll do some more digging into it. i'm thinking it may have something to do with the fact that it was a multiplayer game and i was changing a lot of tribes holdings into cities at once while handing them all out, could have been simply my mistake. I was just mainly curious about the empire title. the federation is all of the dejure kingdom of lithuania so it should be a perfectly acceptable base to form an empire as having all the kingdom of ireland was good enough as a base for an empire. wasn't sure if it just had to do with the religion on what not. thanks again for your time

Ok, so when I launch the game with the new update (4.01.7), several of the flags are mixed up. France has Anjou, England has Cornwall, Scotland has Mann, etc.

I tried deleting the gfx folder in the My Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II directory and they are still wrong.

Deleted the mod and re-downloaded, still wrong.

And it's not when loading an old save either. Even on the ruler selection screen they are mixed up in all the bookmarks.

And yes, I double and triple checked to make sure it was the correct checksum and was not using any other mods.

EDIT: I will also note that everything was fine for me in 4.01.6.

I have the same problem. Feels a tiny bit weird that England has the Cornish duchy flag and Georgia has the England's de Normandy flag.

I am also having issues with the flags being messed up since the new update.

I've deleted the gfx folder, deleted the mod itself and re-downloaded, and even made a manual install rather than using the Steam Workshop. Nothing solved the problem, sadly.

Yay! Thanks zeress! Have you got an ETA when the bugfix will be posted?

Sorry, no ETA Rylock is the only one that can push updates on Steam and it's still fairly early in the day for him atm.

EDIT: Although it is pretty easy to fix yourself. go to CK2plus/gfx/flags/ from there copy any other .tga file and rename the copy d_dummy.tga and that should fix it. Pretty simple

Tried to find any solution to my problem and i cannot. I'm playing a great multiplayer game and i own all of dejure poland and lithuania as a merchant republic but neither one of them are "valid bases for a custom empire"...why is this? will i ever be able to create an empire? i did the exact same thing with ireland. started tribal and made a merchant republic, took scotland and right away was allowed to make an empire. is it the region of the world that simply won't allow it? is there a cheat to work around and grant myself a custom empire level title? Going on a couple hundred years in a multiplayer so it would be very nice to not have to stop my expansion.

Could have sworn I just answered this.

It depends on what your primary title is. If there is an existing titular title with the same name and flag, we don't allow duplicates to potentially exist...so use the titular title instead. Or change your primary title, if you wish.
