Same problem here. I believe it is VIET+ since I do not have this error with CK2+ by itself. Not sure which submod of VIET+ though. Just started getting the problem about a week ago.

BTW, just troubleshot the problem. Its associated with VIET Events CK2+. Turned it off and no more blank event pop ups.

Why does the game always crash one month after i hit play when I change the adulthood and marriage age in the defines.lua file? I used to be able to do this and it worked fine in previous versions of the mod.... I'm using the latest version. Someone please help me!

Jewish moneylenders take interest of 50 ducats as soon as one burrows 300 ducats of money. Such crooks.

Could you tell me how to fix this?

Loan timer's duration of 1 day seem to be the cause of this;

reign of ancients SW scenario, starting as Revy county's count, there are 2 mercs available at 50 ducats. They always 'vanish' from the list after a few days for no apparent reasons. Only 100 ducat mercs and more expensive mercs are available after that. those 2 merc captains are still in the game and they are in close proximity though. It feels like an exploit to hire them before they disappear.

There's something wrong with Cultural Titles and the latest version of the mod, it causes a CTD when loading. Whenever I untick it, the mod works fine.

Yes. use the dev version or 2.07.1 and its fine.

There is something wrong with kidnap. In this instance I spent over 1000 ducats to have those plotters join and have 383% plot power. Out of my 5 tries, none worked.

In another trial against a lowborn courtier(an adult), I had 200 plot power and 5 backers. I was unable to kidnap her for 20 years until my character died.

From my experience, kidnap plot(which seem to be have been recoded in a recent version) is either impossible or has an unreasonably low chance of succeeding..

Looking the code(there are more than one copy of the following in the file):

NOT = { trait = incapable } <- should be deleted

Because of this, children and the incapable cannot be kidnapped. But they can be the target of kidnap which results in kidnapping plot not succeeding forever. They shouldn't be protected.



I've done a rough calculation on the plot chance, too.

With the best possible condition of one person having over 90% plot power contribution and over 300% plot power overall, MTTT is 40 months in one of the two kidnap plots. With both methods, MTTT is 20 month for that plot backer.

If the target's spymaster with high intrigue is helping you(over 90% plot contribution) and you have over 300% plot power compared to the target, it means the plotter is infinitely superior in available resource and cunning. I believe it shouldn't take 2 years to kidnap the target as the plot will be discovered before that. More plotters will decrease MTTT, but it will also increase the chance of discovery, too. Since discovered kidnapping plot results in a dishonorable trait, maybe the chance should be upped a little?

I'm found a little bug in my Kiev Playthrough (867). When i move Dyre's Company in different counties they get pillaged. They burn down every building. The problem is, even in my own provinces. The event says my enemy is the one burning it down, but it's only there where my army is. My own army is pillaging my land. :rofl:

edit. It seems to be only the case if I'm at war or pillaging other provinces. Weird.

Which submods/other mods and are you using VIET+? I have heard others speak of this bug...

I have the same problem. I have a retinue parked in Cordoba, but it keeps pillaging my own holdings.

Game Version: 2.0.4
Mod Version: 2.0.7.2
Modules Used: Core, Vanilla Hordes
Brief Summary of Issue: Troops are pillaging my own holdings.

Sounds like the problem is with CK2+ core files. I'll let schwarherz and Zeress and the others know.

When I try to start a new game (i.e. select a character and hit play) the game crashes to desktop every time.

Install in documents/paradox interactive/mod NOT program files/steam/steamapps/crusader kings II/mod

Having the same problem - due to issues mentioned in the index thread though I decided to use the Dev build as was suggested there till things get ironed out. But I must be doing something wrong, no matter where I extract to, it doesn't come up with an option to play with the Dev build now? Guess I'll be better waiting for the next version lol.

EDIT: Never mind, I was just moving the entire folder to /mod instead of opening it up first. Sorry for the clutter :eek:o

Brief Summary of Issue: Downloaded yesterday, worked perfectly. Now today when I try to open the game with mod it is crashing on "Creating graphics". Not sure why at all this has happened, I tried opening vanilla on it's own, and that starts up (though obviously can't open any of my previous saved files).

Edit: redownloaded the mod and put it on, got rid of other mods, nothing's changed. Still crashes at graphics. Redownloaded, deleted paradox folder in documents, reput in mod, still stopped at graphics.
