Playing as a Seljuk duke, i decided to go on to hajj while at war with the Byzantines. I was a commander within main Seljuk Army at that moment. ( I think going to hajj while commanding an army should be forbidden ) Anyway, i was having nice hajj events then i was captured in a battle and imprisoned. All of my hajj events stopped except for continuous "realizing poisinous water" event, that particular event fires every few days. I paid my ransom and was released but still event continues. As a result, i can't complete my hajj and the regency ensues.

What program did you use to edit the files? Currently it's not possible to edit them with standard microsoft notepad, otherwise it will cause crashes. Maybe that's the issue?

Tried as soon as I click on a character and start the load to play...CRASH

Modules on-
BLC and RUP with the correction thing

All modules in regular CK2+ barring No Pagan Looters and Alternative Scenarios

With only the ducal de jure shift edited by using Notepad++ with the value in both CK2+ core and the Hardcore Module changed to 100000 from the previous inputs.

Anything else I can do?

What do you mean by fresh? I used the one in the mod files.

And for the other two, I previously did this to files in Wiz's tenure and that worked fine like the way I am doing it. I do both and it didn't do anything. What you said isn't applicable then.

So what to do now?

And for the other two, I previously did this to files in Wiz's tenure and that worked fine like the way I am doing it. I do both and it didn't do anything. What you said isn't applicable then.

So you tried with just hardcore and just the core module. Okay, so it's definitely a problem with defines.lua. What I meant by a fresh file is one that hasn't been edited at all after unzipping. I forget exactly what format the file should be in, but check the binary format (ASCII, UTF, etc.) and double check that it is actually only a .lua file, not a .lua.txt or something. If those don't work, I am at a loss.

Have you put the mod files in documents or the game folder? Putting it in the game folder will break the mod.

Need some instructions here, this where my computer knowledge runs out. But its a lua. file.So what now?

Thanks for keeping up the work on the mod guys. Great stuff, and don't like to play the game without it.

I'm having CTD issues with my latest game, playing an Irish Count with all downloads except Sunset Invasion, with 2.06.03 and the latest patch. I'm also playing with Better Garbs and Recycled Units (combined version) and Better Armies.

The crashes seem to occur shortly after someone (it's happened twice after reloading) sets up an anti-pope. The first time was (I believe) the Byzantine Emperor setting one up, and the second was the HRE setting one up.

If you could check out anti-popes, that would be great.

Also, don't believe there's any benefits coming from the Steward actually getting the "Meets a Great Builder" event. Could you check out as well?

Again, thanks for keeping up the mod!
