I've been thinking about the OP-ness of Norse raiding and I thought of this solution:
Can't Norse pagan longboats take 50 men per ship instead of the usual 100? That should fix the 'king of norway drops 8k raiders on the coast and insta demolishes every hold he touches' problem.

Or for balance, make raiding troops use 2 troop slots and normal soldiers only use one, meaning a normal army can be ferried around like usual but raiders are limited to smaller parties.
That would also make it more historically accurate as a longboat was usually crewed by about 25 men (those men also being the soldiers doing all the pillaging and looting).

So I'm not sure where I'm supposed to post this, but the latest CK2+ version and its Better Armies counterpart don't work together well in Shattered World. What happens is that both the BA and the 'vanilla' buildings can be built.

EDIT: Nevermind. It's not supposed to be compatible with SW anyway.

Any chance that you could push for CK2+ to become an official expansion/patch?

Frankly, CK2+ improves the game markedly. I don't think that there would be anyone who would choose vanilla over 2+ once they'd played it. It would be nice not to have to wait a week or two to play CK2+.

Thoughts?

I can understand some people not supporting some elements of CK2+ that increase difficulty, like restricting demesne size. But some of the improvements, from factions to many of the new events and a traits system that makes more sense, are just subjectively better than vanilla.

EDIT: Nevermind. It's not supposed to be compatible with SW anyway.

I generally just go and delete the buildings file in SW. I haven't had any trouble running SW with Better Armies that way.
