Nope, you cant plot for trade posts, but you can declare war for them.
On your own vassal familes? Or only when you lose the election?

We are both vassals of the same liege but we have autonomous crown authority, which means we should be able to war on each other. Regardless, I think if it was because of crown law it would show a different reason for not being able to declare war, not the 'invalid cassus belli'. It's frustrating to spend time, money, and prestige to create strong claims which you can't use and not know why you can't use it.
I think it'd be better if it just caused a civil war or made you a titular King instead. I can understand why they wouldn't want a foreigner on the throne, but the revokation surely wouldn't happen overnight.
Byzantium is a special title with some special conditions on it. That event turns it into the Latin Empire if a Catholic gets it, I don't think I ever considered the possibility of a Pagan inheriting Byzantium.
Can you be a bit more specific? Like what country you are playing as, your religion, what type of government, etc. and the same for the other country plus whether there was a rebellion there recently?
Does anyone else get either 1 crusade or none at all? My last game there was a crusade in 1098 for Jerusalem and then no crusades afterwords. In my current game it is 1200 and no crusades yet.
I do have the VIET mods and the new duel engine mod active but i wouldn't think this has to do with it.
Does the crusade have piety requirements? Most of my popes have less than 0 piety.
They can't storm castles if you enable "No Assaults" option in game launcher.Wiz. ive been playing latest version. crusade started in 1090. Jerusalem was created 2 years later. the holy orders came around 10 years later. its now 1230 and they still are not my vassals :S
also is there anything I can do against Mongols? I mean come on....80k army... before I can call all my vassals and place them in one territory (where they die en masse due to attrition...) they already got 100 score by storming each castle and is it just me or does it look like they don't have attrition? :S

Even having a Crown Law in place still allows me to freely change councilors under Lifetime Appointments. Is there a spot in a file somewhere where I can see what possible conditions are preventing this from working properly?
I think you can why not try and see. It helps with AI's suicidal charges so it is actually a good option.thats rather unrealistic and I doubt I can add that mid-save game. or can I?
still I doubt my army can beat their monster of 60k+.... I can muster about 35kand if I keep them in one place it goes down to 25k within a month or 2.... thats the real problem.
paradox was lazy about this. they just created a monster stack deleted any attrition and went with it. there is no strategy or tactics to it...... another feature left half-arsed.
I'll use the most recent situation where this occurred. I am an Irish Monophysite duke with seniority succession who pledged fealty to Scotland. My neighboring Irish duke is also a vassal of the Scottish monarch. Scotland has autonomous vassal crown authority which should mean that we vassals can do whatever we want. However, even after using my Chancellor to fabricate a strong claim on a county that is part of the neighboring duke's demesne the game won't let me declare war on him, as I'm still not considered to have a valid cassus belli. Every other condition is met, just not this one. I don't know what I need to create a valid cassus belli if a strong claim isn't good enough.
At the same time I have a weak claim on a neighboring Irish county that is part of an independent Welsh duchy. I'm not allowed to press this claim, either.

Search for 'Mongol' and you will find 5000 threads with tactics, I am sure you will find something useful have a look perhaps.
