I think I may be being incredibly dense and failing to remember when the change occurred...

My plot list was empty (with the new patch tonight!) yet, on the character interface panel, I was able to go through the new[ish] plot button and select a variety of relevant plots. Couldn't figure out if the plot list was bugged or if it's all WAI.

Playing with newest version.

Characters who have already been given an honourary title seem to be able to desire one again while still having one

Characters who are already on council desire other council positions even if they would be rubbish and are much better suited to do current job.

Encountered odd issue:

Playing CK2+ with Shattered World, started in Rome.

Worked my way up to Duke of Latium when some events caused me to get a nasty case of Lack of Funds.

At just that moment, rebels attacked and sacked every holding in Rome (including the Papacy bishopric) killed a bunch of folks, caused general mayhem. Lack of funds were so severe that 3x size relief armies routed within a few days of arrival, so I could do nothing until the rebel leader declared himself independent.

Now here's the weird part. As Duke of Latium I now have strong claims to both the County of Rome and a second barony there. However, when I go to declare war, it claims "Must have valid CB." I do (or should) - I'm wondering if this has to do with the fact that the rebels sacked the Vatican ... and on independence the rebel became Prince-Bishop. I wonder if this might have been fine if the Papacy hadn't been there ...

Please tell me if I'm missing something. ATM, I can't declare war (CB doesn't register) I can't marry-in (bishop succession) and I can't get him to vassal-up (small difference in rank). I can play as Rome without Rome ... but I'd rather not ...

But vanillla CK2 also has MAX_DUCHIES set to 2, not 3

Well blow my donkeys... so it does.

I was going by the CK2+ patch notes:

1.33:
- Updated to 1.09 and The Republic.
- Reduced max number of duchies legally held to 2 to correspond to generally decreased demesne sizes.

Anyways, increasing the duchy limit does stop the revoke-grant cycle. Why??

@Wiz, I think this might be a clue for your revoke spam problem:

Code:
REQ_DUCHIES_FOR_KINGDOM_CREATION = 3, -- Number of held duchies required to create a kingdom (for rulers who are not already kings or emperors)

There is a 10 year truce when rebels conquer a county now.

Which made me wonder, why does this change even exist in the first place? Didn't some of kingdoms form with small territory/duchies? Such as Bohemia and Portugal?

Related issue. I'll go into details so it's clear:

Before rebels took County of Rome, I held:
County of Rome - Barony of Tusculum (County Capital)
Barony of Tivoli (Demesne Barony)

During rebel occupaton, the rebel leader booted out the Pope and set himself up as Prince-Bishop instead, and appointed vassals. Thus the county capital became the bishopric of Rome.

Now that I have retaken county with "Press all Claims" I have:
County of Rome - Barony of Tivoli (Switched to County Capital)
Bishopric of Rome (Demesne Barony)

The original Barony of Tusculum has gone from capital to vassal barony, but I want it back ...

I quickly farm out the bishopric, and set about spreading rumors about the baron so I can have castles again. Strangely, I see that the baron of Tusculum has two boys but "unknown" heir ... then I notice on his COA that the law is listed as investiture ... then I check in my church tab and find him there waiting for me to assign an heir. In this tab I definitely don't want to select my desired duchy heir ... or worry about what the game thinks this castle is now ...

This guy's a noble-type baron ... so this one IS a bug, yes?

so I have an idea to mod crusades. can calling a crusade simple hit moral authority of a church? Even in history as the pope called more crusades the authority under whichhe called them grew weaker and weaker. maybe it should cost 20 and on success give only 10 back? It's only an idea, but I think it would make sense

Portugal can form with their historical territory, Bohemia starts formed. 2 duchies felt a bit too easy to get with the generally smaller duchy size of CK2+.

May be you can change it to a particular realm-size instead? I am not sure what a good size for a Kingdom would be. 26? 30?

Rather not, people are already confused enough about forming empires.
