How about a diplomatic decision to "Draw out suspected traitor" which temporarily increases their revolt risk by your personal intrigue score, or a "Empty Promises" one that reduces it temporarily?

I think education still needs some tweaking, it's way too dependent on the level of education of the tutor - which is fine as a factor but it seems impossible to actually get a higher education than they have (though I think it is possible just exceedingly rare) - however my guys end up going down the education traits once a generation until hitting the lowest (usually diplo, so naive appeaser) with no way to rise back up unless they get insanely lucky despite any natural talent. My latest heir with 12 base diplo and like 21 with traits is another naive appeaser, for example - and they almost always will be from now on because the negative aspect of the traits given by a random tutor very much outweighs the bonus of the education. Which you could say is a tradeoff but I think it's unnatural that way, natural disposition for an education type should be a lot more heavily weighted than the tutor's level.

While we're talking about stats, diplomacy is actually not as useful as simply giving them all the "good" traits. Needs to be more 'x vs y' instead of just 'everyone loves x and everyone hates y regardless of if they are x or y themselves'. Off of the good traits you can get something ridiculous like +50 not to mention the innate diplomacy bonuses they all have as well.

Compared to 30ish rule + 30ish spouse + 30ish chancellor you can get something like +75 from "personal diplomacy" and +40 for "state diplomacy" considering the level of difficulty to get that vs the above (just raise them yourself) I'm thinking less and less that I like the diplomacy route.

A King with 0 self+wife stewardship would get 4 counties * 4 income = 16 gold a year
A King with 10 self+wife would get 5 * 4 * 1.20 = 24 gold a year. Note how income has jumped 50% with only 10 stewardship difference.
A King with 20 self+wife would get 6 * 4 * 1.40 = 33 gold a year. We're now making more than double the amount of money as a 0 stewardship ruler.
A King with 30 self+wife would get 7 * 4 * 1.60 = 44 gold a year, almost triple the income of 0 stewardship and almost double the income of 10 stewardship.

In CK2+ we have:
static_stewardship_mod = {
global_tax_modifier = 0.015
}
So bonus is 1.5%, not 2% like you wrote above? Or I overlooked something?
Maybe we could find a better compromise between tax bonus (reduce it) and demesne limit (enlarge it)?

Intrigue could be linked to how well you control your own realm and vassals. Think of it like everyone is doing just as much day-to-day intriguing, but the low intrigue ones as so bad at it that they actually make things worse. So, basically a penalty to low intrigue and some bonus to high intrigue.

First off, let intrigue determine demesne size, so that stewerdship is more about managing your books well and be economic, while intrigue is about managing your organization and your underlings. With high intrigue you can manage a large demesne but with low intrigue it's impossible. Second, intrigue could influence revolt risk, so that if you are an imbecile at intrigue you are actually making revolts happen because of your incompetence. Third, intrigue could give a modifier to vassals, a bit like the shadow part of diplomacy. Low intrigue give you a malus with your vassals since you regularly offend them with clueless intriguing, while high intrigue give a bonus since you know their darkest secrets.

How do I install the mod? I downloaded it and unpacked it into the mod folder and the game doesn't see it. And one more thing: is it compatible with the AGOT mod?

You should unpack archive contents to your game folder, not "mod" folder. :) If you unpack it to mod folder, actual contents will be in "Crusader Kings2\mod\mod\CK2Plus" :)
No, this mod is definitely not compatible with AGOT.

Wiz, I have a question.
How can I increase the court chaplains conversion rate? In one of your older versions, the heresy spreads like crazy and I can't keep up. I want to add a little leverage, there isn't a country in Europe left that is full blown Catholic....
Thx!

Edit: it seems the moral authority for the church is wayyy down. I won't be able to get it back up if every holy war costs 100+ piety. Where do I find these modifiers to change this?

Hi,
I started as the King of Norway, won the war for England and created Wales, now my problem is that even so i changed both Norway and England to elective (and Wales too since it was formed after the change in the others) .. i want my half-brother (who is about to inherit a claim for Denmark) to succeed me ... so i make him my choice in all the kingdoms but for some reason in my primary title Norway it keeps changing back to my first born son .. i change it and it is alright for a couple of days but then it changes back to my son as heir and i get the message i am going to lose wales and England to my half-brother .. any idea what the problem could be there?

IMHO, Intrigue should give bonuses that allow people to accept your offers easier, for example to become accomplices in your plots, or boost the opinion increase for the same gift. People with high Intrigue should be feared, and have a easier time to be a harsh, unforgiving ruler. Basically, Intrigue is your ability to be a move and shaker in the realpolitik side of politics, while Diplomacy is more to cajole and play the diplomatic side.

A high Intrigue could entice people to join your plots easier than they usually would, enough to tip the balance for some potential conspirators;make them easier to arrest; give a slight bonus to tyranny levels when you revoke/banish/execute; etc.

When I picture a High Intrigue monarch, I picture Louis XI and Bad King John in real life or, in fiction, Baron Vladimir Harkonnen. Right now it is nigh-on impossible to be a ruthless tyrant unless you have good causes to make it legit. High Intrigue monarchs should be able to forge, weave, and scheme their way into good causes against people they don't like, at the expense of gaining Rivals much easier.

For a further stewardship nerf, you could make demesne size bonus dependent on overall state score instead of ruler+wife. Just scale down the effect so that +1, +2 and +3 are about as common as they were in 1.15. That would reduce the incentive to train rulers in stewardship, as each individual point of stewardship would be less important but high-stewardship characters would still be valuable as councillors.

Intrigue affects siege progress through events already ... it might make sense to expand on that, offering intrigue events that provide reinforcements, cause peasant revolts, swing rebellious vassals of the enemy to your side, etc.

It's difficult to separate intrigue from diplomacy. Right now the two stats are basically twins, with diplomacy the good twin and intrigue the evil one.

When the hell are you gonna get your own subforum? Sheesh.

Anyway sorry to say but 1.17 runs slower than hell, I thought it was because I tried setting EVENT_PROCESS_OFFSET to 15 instead of 20 just to see if it could handle it but I changed it back to 20 and it's still slow, probably at least 2-3 times as slow as 1.16 on max.

Pretty sure Wiz already asked them, and they said no because they aren't doing that anymore.

Wiz IS working on a CK2+ forum though, it's up right now for those helping him dev anyways, I assume it will get expanded eventually for all use.
