Just to weigh in on the tutoring, that is definitely working in vanilla. Whenever the tool-tip says I'll get the bonus I do so, it also stacks and can be exploited by repeatedly having your child tutored by the oldest person in someone's court, and then just sending them again when they die...

And in the mod. Loaded as the duke of Toulouse at the earliest date, sent my brother to be educated by the duke of Burgundy, get a +20 Entrusted Ward modifier with him.

- Rebalanced the Stamford Bridge scenario to be more historical. William should now win most of the time, with a Saxon victory being the second most likely and a Norwegian victory the most unlikely.
- Taking over a title in an invasion will now give a temporary +100 opinion boost with that title's vassals to prevent immediate civil war.
- The crown authority of a kingdom is now tied to its De Jure Empire if that empire exists. If for instance the crown authority of the HRE is Low, the crown authorities of Germany, Lotharingia and Bohemia will also be Low and cannot be changed on their own.
- You can now employ a spymaster via decision.
- Employing councillors via decision now costs a fixed amount of gold.
- Integrated the latest version of the Better Rebels mod that fixes a bug with rebels murdering rulers far too often.
- Increased loyalty bonus from being of the same dynasty.
- Increased the damage from flanking units (to hopefully make all-in-the-center a less effective tactic).

Seems to me such a prime Medieval Feature that sorely underused by the game, any chance perhaps you would look into it and come up with your own tweaks and modifications to it? (Like the way you did for the Grand Feast)

I have three questions/suggestions:

a) Can it be possible to code in an event in which a rebellous vassal in prison makes his submission after a few years in exchange for release? In other words, the vassals acknowledges your status a Liege and accepts a truce for ten years in exchange for release?

b) Is there an event to forcefully offer a prisoner to convert to the Liege's religion? Obviously the choice is available in the diplo screen but since the prisoner always hates you it is kind of pointless, they'll always refuse.

c) I see that battles are deadlier right now, but what about leaders being captured for ransom? I've never seen counts and up being captured and held up for ransom, so I wonder if these have been tweaked down.

A) is a good idea. Something should be done to prevent the whole 'keeping vassals in prison for life'.

For B) I would need to give it some thought. I don't want to make it possible to ALWAYS convert a prisoner, as historically there were plenty of martyrs who refused to convert even in face of death.

As for battles, all battle events are more common, including capture.

Also, I know you plan on adding your own kind of traits and such, but may want to have a glance at this mod near close to completion (still in the concept phase but nearly done..)

I do realize I throw out lots of suggestions, but hey, I really enjoy your mod, and if i can find ways to not only improve your own mod, but increase the enjoyment of it by intergrating very popular mods, if it's naturally within your mod vision, than why not? heh :)

I looked at it but I have to say I'm not a fan of throwing in even more personality traits when characters already end up with so many contradictory traits.

A) is a good idea. Something should be done to prevent the whole 'keeping vassals in prison for life'.

The problem is that rebellious prisoners often have the Ambitious trait, which gives a -50 malus. That might not be much, but when you play Sweden and face all those Northern Pagan vassals this, coupled with the -30 for being Infidel, makes them rather unfit for parole.

Usually, when their opinion improves between 0 and (-40) and they don't have Ambitious I usually free them after a while, the Merciful +50 relationship often offsets the penalty for having the wrong religion. If there was an event to offer Ambitious vassal prisoners to curb the neck, kneel, and pledge their submission in exchange for pardon, thus losing their Ambitious trait (either temporarily or permanently), it would make them safe enough for release.

Also, putting them into House Arrest should give an incremental boost in opinion, as at least you allow them some level of comfort and leniency. It should play a role in facilitating their submission.

The only thing, however, is that it shouldn't be a certainty. Some vassals should cower and choose the easy path to freedom, and others, especially those that really hate your guts, should refuse to budge in the hope he can escape or be liberated - and become the centerfold of a new revolt movement.

Hmm.. Well, I wouldn't mind paying homage to my most favorite mod of CK I/DV which is the wonderful Deus Vault Improvement Project (DVIP..)

So how about:

"The CK2 Collaboration Project" - A Mod for Balance, Improvements, and Integration of other popular mods for Crusader Kings 2.

Who knows, perhaps a title like that can lead to more modders collaborating with you :)

"CK 2 Refinement Project" - A Mod for Balance, Improvements, and Integration of other popular mods for Crusader Kings 2
