The Roof is on Fire
The imperious Lord Gerold of House Grafton, Lord of Gulltown, died in the year 326AC at the age of two-and-sixty.
His older daughter, lady Rylene, was married to Ser Donnel of House Waynwood. After her untimely death at the age of one-and-thirty, Ser Donned remarried. His second wife is now his widow.
Lord Gerold’s younger daughter, lady Zhoe, was married to Ser Eon of House Hunter, master of Hunter’s Point castle, until his death at the age of thirty. She then eloped with a captain of the sellsword company, a man of a fearsome reputation as a cannibal. Although those allegations are vastly exaggerated and Captain Garth never actually ate any human despite his enormous appetite. Curiously enough, all those gargantuan amounts of food were never able to actually show themselves on Captain Garth’s body as it remained frail throughout his life. Captain Garth was deeply affected by the slander and died in great sadness at the age of one-and-sixty. His beloved wife, lady Zhoe, followed him a year later.
Lord Gerold’s youngest son, soft-hearted Ser Gyles, became a hopeless drunkard after the mysterious death of his first wife, lady Merra of House Lynderly, despite the fact that they were almost incompatible together. He eventually remarried to an equally honourable lady Yorena, but the damage was already done and his addiction to the bottle took him to the grave. His widow mourned him for three years and finally wasted away in great sorrow.
Lady Yolanda, Ser Gyles’ daughter by his first wife, is married to Ser Kermit of House Vance, a man she has absolutely nothing in common with. He eventually ran away from her (and her disease) and is serving with the Second Sons.
Ser Gyles’ younger daughter, lady Alynne, is technically married to Ser Hoster of House Ryger, but Ser Hoster was driven away from his own home by his own brother, Lord Roger, and is currently serving at the court of Lord of Moreland. Lord Roger then proceeded to father a son by his brother’s wife and promptly shunned her from his company thereafter. The boy, Merrett, is promised to become a consort to young lady Arwaya of House Pemford, the current heir of Rushmoor, and resides with her future wife's court.
Lord Gerold’s middle son, Ser Edric, was married to lady Nella of House Wythers until his death from a tumour at the age of eight-and-thirty. Lady Nella never remarried and is still in mourning.
The pair only son, Ser Edmind, is his father’s spitting image. He is married to lady Wynafrey of House Mallister, daughter of the late Black Lady Minisa of the Seagard. The marriage is still childless.
Lord Gerold’s firstborn son Randyll succeeded him as Lord of Gulltown. He became known as Lord Randyll the Munificent for his charitable and honourable nature. Lord Randyll was married thrice. His first wife, Lady Cercei of House Waynwood. She unfortunately let herself be seduced by a lowborn knight, contracted a brothel disease and died at the age of eight-and-twenty when both her mind and her body finally gave up. Lord Randyll’s second wife was already twice a widow herself. She died peacefully in her sleep at the age of six-and-fifty. Lord Randyll’s last wife and widow is Lady Alora Stone, a bastard-born daughter of a Night’s Watch brother from House Follard.
Lord Randyll’s only daughter, lady Kerelle, is married to Ser Hugo of House Blackwood, heir to the Muddy Hall castle.
Lord Randyll’s youngest son Rodrik is married to lady Ermesande Stone, a bastard of House Waxley.
Lord Randyll’s third son, Ser Gerold, was first married to lady Sharra of House Melcolm, the mother of his two children. Rather simple woman, she did not recognise the telltale signs of a doomed dog and went to pet it, an act of kindness that cost her her life. Ser Gerold's second wife is Lady Syrella of House Bracken. They do not have any kids yet.
Ser Gerold’s daughter, Lady Jennis, is married to a fresh prince of Andalos, newly-emerged Kind Baelor’s second son. The pair resides in the rapidly-growing new colony of Ghoyan Drohe on the border between the new kingdom of Andalos and the principality of Pentos.
Ser Gerold’s son Waltyr is married much more humbly, to lady Jorelle of the northern House Locke. A simple man much like his mother, he is also suffering from an inflammation of his brain and is rarely seen in a sensible state of mind. Fortunately he is timid and kind-hearted so his fits are never violent, but rather just very sad.
Lord Randyll’s second son, Ser Kennard, was first married to lady Theona of House Redford, but after her execution he rather quickly remarried to a very young lorathi girl he met in the Gulltown port. She claims descent from an Archon of Lorath, but she is also utterly insane, and Ser Kennard does not really seem that interested in her family or personality anyway.
Both of his daughters are married into prominent houses in the Riverlands.
Ser Kennard’s only son Randyll was unfortunately killed by his own kinsman in a duel for honour. His wife, princess Sarya of Andalos, went back to her homeland and became a septa like her grandmother.
The pair’s daughter, Lady Janyce, is married to Ser Morton of House Shett, Lord of Gull Tower.
Her brother, Ser Gerold, is married to lady Karella of House Saul.
The current Lord of Gulltown is Lord Creighton the Mystic. He is married to Lady Elyra of House Arryn (of the Gulltown branch).
Their oldest daughter, lady Ronella, was married to Lord Humfrey of House Melcolm, Lord of Old Anchor, until her death at the age of just eight-and-twenty. Lord Humfrey remarried to lady Yorena, who looks uncomfortably similar to his previous wife. He also has a bastard born in between his marriages.
Lord Creighton’s second daughter, lady Lanalla, is married to Ser Damon of House Royce, the most promising second son of Ser Nestor Royce, Lord Commander of The Gates of the Moon.
Lord Creighton’s third daughter, lady Janyce, is married to Ser Jon of House Mudd.
Lord Creighton’s youngest son, Ser Jaime, is married to lady Cassana of House Warfield.
His brother, Ser Adrian, master of Gull Hall, was married to lady Deana of House Shett (of Gulltown branch), mistress of Gulltown Keep. After Ser Adrian’s mysterious death at the age of just eight-and-twenty, poor lady Deana had unfortunately lost her mind in grieving for her husband and does not really understand or recognise who she is dealing with and is easily being led to believe that her husband is with her at the moment, a confusion that led to the birth of her bastard daughter Rhea.
The pair’s only child, Ser Waymar, succeeded his father as the master of Gull Hall. He also stands to inherit his mother castle. Ser Waymar is married to a beautiful silver-haired daughter of a mayor of Hull, a town on the Driftmark island.
Ser Lewyn is the current heir of Gulltown. He is married to Lady Qyrene of House Royce.
Their oldest son Benedict is recently married to another Lady Qyrene, this one from House Arryn, daughter of Lord Malador of The Vale and Lady Myriame of The North.
