CK2 won't start after switching to a new monitor

I recently decided to get a smaller monitor so I could use more desk space. My old monitor connected via VGA into the PC port while my new on connects through HDMI chords in the HDMI slot. My resolution changed and when I launched CK2, I went to fix the resolution (the tab showed at thr bottom) and I clicked Fullscreen. I restarted the game but it doesn't start past the initial interface. I'm working with WNDS 10.
