CK2 - Who will you play as first?

Count of Vermandois, and then lead the last Carolingians to glory and reconquer back the old lands.
Lubeck, if possible and maybe afterwards Holland or something in England/southern france/Italia.
i will try count of Jylland first and see if i can actually become the king ! then take over scandinavia or something or generally expand
i am a jyde after all (person from jylland) and i will surpass all of the devils from sjælland !!! and Holstein/slesvig
then i probably will play some France, English, Polish or Spanish thing something crasy .....
Multiplayer wise i look forward to be the vassal count / duke of another player
do some damage for my lord !! would be awesome to try playing like 4 under a player king or something could probably be very interesting events folding out

Lithuania that was actually another one of my favourites when playing as Kingdom of Poland at beginning of game. Recreating the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth early. Or making my brother the king of Lithuania.

That's the spirit. Hopefully we'll be able to lead the Thurgots to their rightly deserved glory! Though I almost can't decide between that and inheriting my way to the southern HRE as the Habsburg count of Aargau...so many good stories to be told.
Well, at first I think I'll play the duke of Uppland or perhaps one of his subordinates, but I would really like to try my hand at El Cid, Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar and his family, as well as some upstart crusader family in the levant shortly after the Kingdom of Jerusalem is founded.
I have so many I would like to try so I can't really decide, but I think it will be as Duke of Östergötland or Duke of Skåne (I might have to start out as Denmark and give away the title first if it doesn't exist from start).
You can start as a count and make it yourself if you own enough territory. I think it does exist though.
Lübeck would only be playable as part of the County of Holstein between 1143 and 1206. Before that it was Wendish, after that it was a Free Imperial City and should be a republic in game terms.
A breton count (because of my ancestors) and I'll try to recreate the dream of Erispoe. Create the kingdom of Brittany and keep the Frenchies out of my country !
Can you play as the Duchy of Holstein? That's my last name, after all (altrough there is a doubt my family actually came from there. My parents are Romanian).

There should be a duchy of holstein at some of the later start dates, especially around 1337, they owned large amounts of Denmark at that point
The duchy of Holstein is there, however I do not think it exists at the start of the game. You would need to create the title by holding the provinces (through your own holdings and those of vassals) in time. Either as a German or Dane!
