Johan, will it be released on Gamers Gate on release day and will GG copies have the same support as any other versions?
Frankly, I am worried about the lack of clear answers here. GG used to be Paradox owned, and I for one have opted to use GG since those days as a way to support Paradox. Is there a major change in Paradox on-line distribution policy in the works? If so, could you be clear about what is happening? For something as important as this I would expect a press-release.

Paradox sold out to Steam because of the margin of population that uses Steam vs Gamersgate or the others. Their products will be seen by MORE thus they hope to gain a FAT INCOME because just like everybody else in the industry they are GREEDY as well. They don't really care about their past customers because for every one of them they lose they will gain 2-4 new ones on STEAM. You as a customer are just a number and if you're number doesn't jive with what they are after you're number gets tossed in the trash. Look what Creative Assembly did with the Total War game series. After Medieval Total War & the Viking invastion they tossed all their old customers who made them what they are to the DOGS and started producing for the kiddie click festers and the WOW babies and the INSTANT GRATIFICATION whores. Paradox is doing no less going to Steam. Afterall it's all about MONEY not the product anymore. THe days of the garage designer and programmer are gone (Steve Jobs died) and those that loved the industry for the MAKING OF A GREAT GAME because they LOVED GAMING. Now if you noticed you just get the same games with a new NUMBER "Crusader Kings "2"" anyone? Let's see how many renditions of Hearts of Iron has Paradox milked? III? Hardly anyone is making anything NEW it's all REMAKES of the OLD with NEW GRAPHICS and many times they take out the best parts when making the new ones "Civilization V" anyone?
The big problem is gamers won't unite and not buy into Steam or intrusive DRM. They are sooooooo addicted to gaming and the NEW they can't help themselves and don't even stop to THINK of the consequences of what they are doing. Just like the Pied Piper was to the rats and the kids. They follow blindly not realizing their fate at the end of the dock.
@Barrabas:
Just so you know even if you can buy it from another site you will STILL HAVE TO USE STEAM TO ACTIVATE THE GAME. You'll still be under STEAMS' watchful eye from then on as they will be SPYING on you from then on. So, once again even though you buy from Gamersgate or D2D or brick n mortar (unless Paradox makes some outside deals that don't require Steam) you will have to INSTALL THE STEAM CLIENT and be a SLAVE to them from then on or until you no longer want to play that game and then can uninstall the Steam Client. Which is by no means 100% sure that everything Steam puts on your computer will be removed. STARFORCE was notorious for not removing it's SPYWARE HARDWARE DESTROYING program.
There is a high likelihood of a non-steam version for some portals.

He's a troll. Do not respond to trolls, my friend.Did you not read Johan's comment about five posts above your own?
I don't care if you're a paranoid schizo, but please don't bring you're accusations here.

Actually, that is exactly what that means. BTW, random capitalization of words never makes the point that you think it is making."There is a high likelihood of a non-steam version for some portals." doesn't necessasarily say that you still won't have to activate it on STEAM to GET YOUR PATCHES!
That doesn't change the fact that they sold out to STEAM. And making a blanket statement of: "There is a high likelihood of a non-steam version for some portals." doesn't necessasarily say that you still won't have to activate it on STEAM to GET YOUR PATCHES!
@Wallain
You're the troll you just came in here calling childish names better read the forum rules. You insulted and were rude.
