CK2 Launcher crash Steam Version

Ive searched the steam forums but had no luck there. my game crashes as soon as the launcher starts, i noticed that the graphics for several buttons does not load. when i bypass the launcher i cannot use my dlc. i have updated all .NET files and redowloaded and installed all direct X and C++. the only way i get the laucher to not crash is run with the integrated graphics on my laptop and not the NVIDIA card. however that also runs vanilla only and i cant use any of my DLC. please help i really enjoyed this game in the past but these new crashes have made it unplayable for me since all my families ran off of DLC

Try a full clean reinstall: move any valued save games elsewhere and uninstall the game from within Steam. Then manually delete ALL the CK2 directories from under BOTH the Steam and MyDocuments folders. Now reinstall the game from Steam, and run the Verify just to make sure it all came down properly.

I can't explain why this worked but running the game in steams big picture mode seems to have fixed it.
