This has been happening forever and I wish this oversight would be corrected. Currently an Arab country from ck2 that does not have the exact tags of a EU4 country will get generic ideas, and so the Middle East of converted games is blanketed by generics.

I want to emphasize that this is UNIQUE to ARABS. All Berber countries get Berber ideas, and if an Andalusian emir conquers Sweden it will get Grenadan ideas.

You can fix it yourself in the mod files. Not even that tedious, and also allows you to fix other stuff, like tech groups, colours and whatever.

How do i fix it?

The CKII save file exports into mod to EU4 - documents/paradox interactive/eu4/mod

in there there's a bunch of mods, one of them should be something like France1333converted or similar. When you open it there are different folders, I think you're looking for common/countries. Can't check right now, I don't have any mods like those now.

or rather common/ideas? Not sure, sorry ;)

Never said it was, but if you want to fix an individual nation or two you can certainly use that method. To be completely honest with usually I take the time to at least fix the largest Muslim nation with the generic ideas whenever I convert over to EU4.
