Is it confirmed that is an official CKII > EUIV converter? This is very important to decide my pre-order.
I think Frederick OK'ed those, he's the bossFrom a simple point of view of boosting sales, a way of linking this game to Paradox's most successful product so far (CK2) would be highly desirable. Johan's just OK'ed another two years of DLCs for CK2, so it isn't going anywhere either.

As for the converter: I like the idea, but I've yet to finish one game of CKII (and not being a huge blob within a century)
Am I the only one thinks that CK2 Exporter is a silly idea?
Look how Europe looks when you finish the game.
It's completely destroyed by big blobs or conquered by Player Empire, or both. It's semi-random mess.
We have Pisa in Africa and England in Sweden. We have catholic Mongols in Russia.
Is this really how you want to start your Europa Universalis?![]()
What would refrain me the most to use it would be the strange addition of the whole world all around my CK2 map. What happens on the boundaries, like in Central Asia, in easter Russia/Western Siberia, and so on?
But this has been done before, and thought quite seriously it seems, so I'll wait and see.

Obviously I wouldn't play CK2 the same way if I thought I have a millennium to accomplish my plans than when I play hoping to accomplish them in smaller timeframe.
In other words, players who play with intention of converting a game wouldn't feel as pressured to rush with blobbing.
When you start at 867, you already have 600 years of gameplay. You can conquer whole world 5 times in that time, even if you give away all your titles except for one countyObviously I wouldn't play CK2 the same way if I thought I have a millennium to accomplish my plans than when I play hoping to accomplish them in smaller timeframe.

But I wasn't talking about player-blobbing. I don't like to play as huge empire, it's boring out the outside - you have no one to challenge you and on the inside you have to fight constant pretender rebellion. After imprisoning half of my dynasty again, I might as well give them those titles, if they want them so much...
I meant that AI controlled countries first conquer half of the world and then collapse, leaving one big mess...

Imagine:If we can also get a EU4 -> Victoria 2 converter that would be awesome.
