Hi there, it seems when I play CK2(steam version) the game runs perfectly fine for a good five to ten years before it starts to randomly crash, both SP and MP, the strangest thing about this is that in my error.log file I get the strangest messages

[texturehandler.cpp:181]: Couldn't find texture file: gfx//coats_of_arms//dynasties.tga.
[texturehandler.cpp:181]: Couldn't find texture file: gfx//coats_of_arms//dynasties2.tga.

As far as I am aware, I do NOT own these DLC's and certainly do not remember purchasing them, but they show up in the error log nearly every crash and as I do not own them, they are not in the DLC folder.

However, I DO own these DLC's:
Legacy of Rome
Sword of Islam
The Old Gods
The Republic
Sunset Invasion
Ruler Designer
Customization Pack
Norse Units
Mediterranean Portraits
Dynasty Coat of Arms III

Now for the less strange parts
I will also put the crash report here when I got the ck2.exe has stopped working problem:

Problem signature:

I will also post my system specs:
Windows 7 64 bit
AMD A8-3870 APU Processor
Nvidia GTX 295 Video Card
8.00GB RAM

I have already tried a few suggested methods to stop the crashing, such as running the game in compatibility mode and verifying the games integrity cache, I have even disabled the autosave and every save I load does not crash until a few years after the save(as in when I say the game in say 975, If I save it at 979 and crash in 980, I can play up to potentially another ten years starting from 979), I have also tried disabling the DLC and Reinstalling the game to no avail, I hope that someone can help me with this issue, its really starting to bug me and my friend when we can't play our MP game without it periodically crashing on my end.

Those error.log messages aren't strange at all, everyone gets them - ignore them.

What version and checksum show on the main game menu?

Here's the latest video driver for you http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/63458

Please report the temperatures of your CPU and video (GPU) 1/ before starting the game up and 2/ after say 20 minutes' play. If your PC's vendor has given you no way of reading temperatures, install GPU-Zand CPU-Z, or SPEEDFAN.

Thank you for replying so quickly and providing a few helpful tools!

I have ran a test as you asked and this is what happened

Version & Checksum on the main menu: 1.111(MLYP)

CPU Temp before starting CK2: 55C
GPU Temp before starting CK2: 64C

Time of crash was estimated to be around ten minutes this time(on a game speed of four)

CPU Temp Around time of crash in CK2: 64C
GPU Temp Around time of crash in CK2: 74C

My video card drivers automatically update and are at the version that you specified in the link above.

Hmm, well that GPU temp is on the high side for a desktop one, but not alarmingly so. On the other hand the symptoms do seem like an overheating issue.

Can you describe the crash in more detail please? Does it seem to be triggered by any particular action, event, sound, or anything like that in the game? Do you see anything odd on the screen as it happens, or any weird sounds from the game? Can you just run the game immediately, or do you need to reboot, or let your PC cool down?
