- With the AI sometimes having... questionable... logic when it comes to Intrigue focus abductions, how will the AI determine if it wants to use the cultist abduction?

- What does "relatively low-ranking" mean? One tier or more below the initiator, as in the screenshot?

- Are unlanded characters considered to have the rank of their liege if they are closely related, or are all courtiers easy to abduct?

- How moddable are the cultist powers (as opposed to the societies themselves)? Can we add new powers and modify the AI logic and conditions for the powers being useable?

the expansions becomes more attractive from DD to DD (as is to be expected...)
Really? The only thing I see that I like thus far is the new portraits.

I for one was expecting the spannish inquisition!
Liar. No one expects the Spanish inquisition.

I predict Assassin's Creed references in the achievements. Oh, so many Assassin's Creed references.
As long as it is only in the achievements

The thing that deserves the greatest hype in this dev diary. Is the part of the tooltip in the third screenshot that says "is secretly Shia" and "is NOT secretly following another religion."

Gonna be a whole new layer.
Well spotted, hey now there's officially two things with the DLC that I like.

Do Zoroastrians get their own occult society?
They should, their devil called ahriman. In fact the abrahamic regions all inherited the idea o an enemy of good from Zoroastrism.

We are currently looking into this possibility. We shall see.
Would be interesting.

No, but they can join "Lucifer's Own" (though the texts will be slightly different, referring to Ahriman, etc.)
That seems odd, actually why do even muslims have Lucifer's own, Lucifer is an entirely christian idea. Islam has a villain figure in Shaytan, which is often referred to as the devil but the name Lucifer is not present in Islam.
Zoroastrian's should have an Ahriman cult. And if you want to use the same one for both christians and muslims you should rename it to something more fitting.

Yes.
They're for English and German cultures.
How do you know?

It's the Assassins that will be very interesting for me.
-Manipulating your co-members to murder characters for you.
-Intimidating characters for favors
-Bonus Holy Order troops for you, if you are of the sufficient rank

Lucifer's Own are "meh" for me, but I sure as Hel want to see what's in store for Germanic, Finnic and Slavic pagans.

I agree that the Assassin mechanics sound interesting and worth including in playthroughs even if the demonology is disabled. And I'm equally elated by the fact that the 'Secretly Shiite' modifier is there - as someone already spotted. It's really nice to have taqiyya somehow modelled-in.

I really hoped that would be a part of the patch, as I don't care much for ahistorical Satan worshippers, my crypto-pagan dreams may never come true...

I wonder if you can secretly follow any religion, or if you are limited to those from your religious group...
For instance, can I be Orthodox Christian, but secretly pagan Slavic ?

It's not really within CK II's timeframe. It's a EU IV thing.

The Spanish Inquisition was founded in as late as 1478.
I do realize that, but the joke was too tempting.

In other ideas though, did you guys notice the "corrupt priest" button on the second screenshot?

Sounds like now the pope can truly become an agent of Lucifer.

Lucifer is the given name (by the Romans) of the Angel of Light. In English the name is Morningstar. In no theological text is his given name ever given, only his title of Satin. The Muslim concept is identical, even including Judgment Day and the Antichrist. It absolutely makes since that they join the same demonic cult.

As for the Zorastrians, earlier in this very reply (left unquoted) you were going on about how it was the same thing. Why would you now complain that they join Lucifer's Own? And don't say becuase they don't worship Lucifer, they get the proper localization.
