So, everytime I start a new game, I'm fine for like 100ish years, and then the game starts randomly crashing with the message "ck2 has stopped working." It's steadily gotten worse to the point that it crashes within a few days of loading a save or on startup. I've uninstalled multiple times, and deleted any leftover files, but even after the reinstall the pattern just starts over from the beginning. Any advice/help would be greatly, greatly appreciated!

I've also been having this problem. I'd use the beta, but that doesn't seem to work with ck2+
Having this same issue. Typically after a save load. New game.
All of the offical mods installed. common/events directory heavily modified. I have not done a clean install.

I'm not sure what you mean by new game. It does happen even when I start a new game, as well as with old savs.
Currently checksum 2.2.1 DPOO.
No mods, but all gameplay dlc and most of the portrait and unit packs.

You should be on 2.3 as of now, and there are many crashes fixed in that patch. Make sure Steam is online and do a Verify of this game.
i'm running 2.3 BTOF and am still having all the problems i had with the other versions (ie. game fails to start up, posting the "stopped working" message. game crashes upon resigning even after they "fixed" that in the patches. and, while not related to this post, the family line doesn't show up when i resign)
