I'm actually in the middle of an Irish merchant republic, in CK2, and planning to continue in EU4. So, my game, in CK2, is mainly based on what I want export to EU4. But I'm pretty new in that last.
My point is about state distribution on import game.
I test it with a blooby Prydain, and it was a mess. You start with a base of 5 states plus bonuses. Extra lands are territories. I get it. When you convert the game, it makes states based on extract developpement (which is tricky to predict). Result is states far from your homeland, because they have higher developpement.
And, as republic, I'll start as merchant republic. That governement limits you with 20 provinces in states (saw that in wiki).
So I wish to limit my states to no suffer Republican tradition penalty from the beginning and have states equal to de Jure territories in CK2 and non de jure as territories.
Here are my questions :
- Is there a way to tweak CK2 converter to tell which province is a state and which is a territory ?
- If no, I found a way, via console, to grant state statut. But I didn't find a way to switch from state to territory. Is it possible ?
Thanks for your help.
