Latest version? Patch 1.091? Clean install? Tried clearing your gfx cache?

Latest version, and been having this problem since 1.9 and 1.33.3 were out. Clean installed. Clearing the gfx folders in my docs and the steam folder both didn't work. Steam cache integrity check has also failed to solve anything.

The weirdest part is that on GoT (which isn't really that fun), and vanilla, this doesn't occur at all.

Had a small glitch with the "appreciate Spymaster" event, basically I made Spymaster A Court Chaplain and appointed a new Spymaster B, then switched laws to "Life" (not sure whether this matters) - but then whenever the event would pop-up I'd get a relationship bonus for this former-Spymaster A guy instead of the new Spymaster B guy. The second option (take some piety) however properly displayed Spymaster B ...

And then another small oddity, for some reason under Promigeniture I only got one "landless son" penalty, even though I clearly had two landless sons. One was heir to a Bishop though, and as I don't think I've ever paid much attention to this mechanic it might as well be WAD ^^

Not sure this is a bug or my own mistake (1.091; all DLCs; CK2+ 1.33.9 - in this case just running the required CK2+ w/o alternatives)

I edited the defines.lua file for demesne size... taking it back to the 1x (arbitrary number, tested with others, any ratio will suffice) multiple for legalism progress, instead of the 0.5 for CK2+ default... yet it does not take effect in the game. While in the technology view, its still notes 0.5 multiples, regardless of what changes made in the lua.

Is there something I am missing? (Or of course, if this is a dumb question, feel free to slap me around to point out why.)

I think that u need to change something more to see the correct numbers. But apart from those wrong 0.5 values, legalism will work correctly for you - so u will have +1 demesne size for each point of legalism tehnology. So dont worry about those false numbers. you can check it bo looking at demesne size modifers, there the correct valure will be shown

IIRC, one of modules (no assaults and co, I think) modify defines.lua as well, so make sure to modify that particular file if you use these.

A bug I think:

As Doge of Venice, I granted a barony to my heir. I had crown tax privilages

When I died and the baron became Doge, I got an event with description "AI Event" which granted me "Crown tax privilages" of -20%, -10% and -20% to the various vassal types, rather than positive modifiers.

I just thought of this recently, but I believe I might have found the reason why patricians occasionally have a revolt that eventually increases the revolt chance through the roof.

There is a bug where province flags are not being correctly read in Republics. If there is an event that increases revoltrisk, but relies on province flags, that event could fire over and over again because the game engine, for some strange reason, cannot see province flags in counties that are led by cities.

Here is a pretty good screenshot of the rebel bug in action. Notice how there are no rebellions, and the only modifiers, aside from religious difference, is the mysterious 'Councillors'.

View attachment 72500

Any idea on what could be causing this? I dont have the Republic DLC yet so I cant tag switch.

By request from Wiz.

Has anything been changed regarding 'Educate Child', not receiving any popups anymore even after resetting settings. It seems as if educate child is automated and I am capable of doing it manually.
Using CK2+ 1.33.8 and VIET 1.1.2.

Thanks!

i don't know if it's bug or not but i have year 1120 now and i had any crusade and no jihad... Version 1.33.9 and newest patch *all DLCs

Yeh, this is pretty normal. Crusades/Jihads are extremely rare in CK2+.

Ok so I tried to install the mod and it shows up in the menu but when I play its just vanilla and not the mod. What I did was used WINrar to extract it to downloads and then used 7-zip to actually then get it into the mod folder. For some reason I cant used winrar to go straight to the mod folder and I also cant get the original download using 7-zip. In the mod folder the ck2+ is contained in a seperate mod folder which I read means I did it wrong, at that point it does not show up in the menu but If I move the contents to the normal mod folder it shows up but doesnt load when checked. I cant figure this out, any help would be appreciated

Anyone know what to do? I'm having the same problem.

Pretty minor issue:

I'm playing as the Serene Doge of Genoa, and my half-brother vassal died and I inherited Duchy of Sardinia off him. I noticed he had an illegitimate son with decent stats, so I decided to legitimize the son (my bastard half-nephew) and hand him the Duchy (I was already at demesne limit before the inheritance). When I did so, I got -50s from my wife and kids instead of my former half-sister-in-law and my half-niece (the legitimate offspring in that family). Is this a bug or intentional? I'm not clear on why my sons (two of which are also my duke vassals) should hate me for legitimizing their half-first-cousin.

Not really game-breaking (since I had a high enough rep with my sons anyhow) but it seems unintended. And that's assuming "I'm the King-equivalent and head of dynasty, so I can legitimize my brother's bastard" isn't a bug in the first place.

I'm noticing some save game bloat. My current game is at 120mb and it takes a while to load into it. I can only do this once. Once loaded I cannot return to the main menu without locking up the game.

What's worse, my game degrades over time and will take up to 1.8gb of RAM, get sound errors (looping music), text glitches and then lock up. Once the glitches start happening I cannot save my game properly; it will show the hourglass but never finishes. The save that gets created only shows a blank world and is useless.

It's pretty much the same what these guys are experiencing; http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?660695-Are-Memory-Leaks-Back-(

Thats normal, CK2+ eats up lots of RAM (protip: Get the 2gb patch, the vanilla CK2 exe does not have LAA) and the bloated savegames is due to Wiz allowing mayors and courtiers to marry and have children, which results in a ton of character entries which tends to bloat up the saves.

I'm having an issue in my current CK2+ game that didn't happen in the prior games. I keep getting I think X might fancy me events, with my children as the target (ie it wants me to have an affair with my kid) :/

Ah, looks like steam overwrote my patched ck2.exe. Applying the patch fixed my issues.
