I would think that a CK FtG/AoD would be much more likely since Vicky still wont be out for a while. And witing for sequels to two of my favorite games at the same time would be to much
I'd be very happy but see impossible that CK2 will be announced earlier than Vicky's 2 release in 6-7 months, doubt they'll make same error as last time of having two major projects running at same time

FtG/AoD are not Paradox's work, well...they are but they aren't. They are groups of fans who licensed the engines of these games so they could work on them. EU2 and HOI2 are remarkable games who went thought years of polishing and tweaking. CK never even came close to be half that.
Although we can't know for sure I doubt anyone asked for the rights to work on CK, it just has so many fundamental flaws I bet anyone trying to get something out of it would go crazy.
No...CK2 is a start from scratch deal and I bet Johan wants this to be his baby finally.

I'm sort of thinking they might announce it next week, but in any case if CK2 is next in line after V2, they will announce it and start planning and design, but probably not development before V2 goes gold (and the good folks at PI have had their summer vacations after the last-minute crunch time of coding V2). So i'm moderately confident they'll announce CK2 sometime in spring 2010, but the release date will be 2011 at the earliest.
At least they have a loyal and active fanbase here on the forums to offer ideas and eventually maybe betatest. Speaking of which, what has the PI policy on game betas been, do they actually have a testing round?
Note however that as a result of HoI3's issues, starting with Vicky 2 they are planning to use a professional testing company. I assume they will continue to use volunteer betas as well but I don't know if they have confirmed that yet.As far as I know, they have ustilized beta-testers for a while, and expect them to do so also on any new titles they release. Would make little sense to not use the free and eager work-force to help in ironing out issues.

It is a good thing to have a prefessional tester company on hand for all program bugs, CTDs etc. But I doubt they would have much feeling or interest in things like balance or gameplay issues.
For this Beta testers from the community are better, since we have a huge interest in the game. Also it is free labour, so why not take advantage of it ... even if the effects are limited![]()
I won't believe it untill I see the real official announcement, I don't want to get my hopes up to high and then be disappointed (again).
I dunno. At this point, considering EU:Rome and HOI3, I'd be very nervous CK2 would suck.
My sentiments exactly... ;-)I would kill for you if you made CK2 happen Paradox! Kill for you!
