Yes, I remember Medieval Lords. It was and is a great game. I still play it every now and then. I keep an older computer to play the four great games from yesteryear. Medieval Lords really keeps me alert as your dynasty can quickly fall apart. (Being Emperor of the HRE is tough)
There is another game that remains the best game about the rise and fall of the Roman Empire: Annals of Rome, from the 1980s, complete with CGA graphics. There has never been another game that captured the scope and feeling of building, defending, worrying about disloyalty, rebellions, and fall of the Empire. I would dearly love to see Paradox games take on the challenge of a Roman Empire game, from the early republic to the fall and maybe somewhat beyond.
Oh, the third classic game is the sword of Aragon. I keep my old computer around, just to play them.
