Short summary of your issue
Wrong character ruling Olmedo in 867

Game Version
1.6

What OS are you playing on?
Windows

What platform are you using?
Steam

What DLC do you have installed?
Royal Court,

Do you have mods enabled?
No

Have you tried verifying your game files (Steam only)?
Yes

How much "pain" is this causing you?
6

Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
Olmedo is ruled in 867 by a Catalan Mozarabic countess named Sibila. However, titles/k_castile.txt file says it should be an Andalusian man named Adfuns, but it's actually using Sibila's character id number (73991, to be found in characters/catalan.txt). Adfuns is in characters/andalusian.txt with the "andalusian0153" id, so titles/k_castile.txt should actually use the correct Adfuns' id number instead of Sibila's.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue
Simply loading the game in 867 and looking for the count of Olmedo. Then, having a look at the mentioned game files.

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?

But please convey that the accidental Countess is pretty popular with those forum posters who have played her! The words ‘fun’ and ‘challenging’ keep coming up, so I have to ask—is this a bug you have to fix?

“Can we keep her, Mom and Dad? Pleeeeeeeeeeeease? We promise to take good care of her!....”

:p

I just played a whole playthrough with her, and was wondering why someone as unique as her (compared to the other Mozarab counts) didn't have a wiki page or any real life references. Guess that explains why XD

:p Sorry to say folks, but all the minor characters in that little cluster are fictional, as were the folks who were there before! You'll note that they're marked as such in the files (plus we said as much in a dev diary a while back, but eh, easily missed). The sources on that area for this period are so sparse that it's commonly held to be a depopulated desert - modern research (at least according to our Friendly Local Incredibly-Helpful Expert) suggests that that was not the case, but that's the level of paucity we've got.

When it came time to do the history pass, the decision was made to fill the area in with minor Mozarabic landholders, trying to represent something like the pre-existing population who'd recently/sorta-were under Islamic dominance, but who'd rapidly be brought under the Asturian umbrella (and reorganised) over the next half a century or so.

Since the area's characters were fictional anyway, the person doing the script here elected to try and add a bit of character to the area rather than letting them all be random gen'd every game. :slightly_smiling_face: 867 Iberia doesn't otherwise have a playable female ruler, so the good countess here was added to rectify that, since it was perfectly possible and who's to say who was in charge of a load of isolated farmsteads and minor villages anyway?

The bug here is simply that the comment in k_castile hasn't been updated, not that the countess is wrong. Happy to say, she's here to stay.

I don't understand why isn't she Andalusian just as the rest of the count-like petty rulers in the "Duero desert" area, though.
