Short summary of your issue Witch scheme creating secret instead of witch trait - indulgence removing witch trait

Game Version 1.1.2

What OS are you playing on?
Windows

What platform are you using?
Steam

Do you have mods enabled? No

Have you tried verifying your game files (Steam only)?
Yes

How much "pain" is this causing you?
4

Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
Mande faith (Bidasm, reformed), Witchcraft is accepted. Character has witch trait, but scheme to give to others gives Witch Secret instead of Witch trait. Also with communion when vassal asks for indulgence it removes the witch trait.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue
Complete convert to witchcraft scheme (gives secret instead of trait when PC has trait). Faith with witchcraft accepted and communion, indulgence request removes Witch trait.

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?
This did not happen prior to 1.1. In previous Mali game (same religion, Communion and Witchcraft accepted) when my character had the witch trait and I converted someone to witchcraft, it gave them the trait as well, not the secret. Indulgences as well did not remove the Witch trait.

I have attached a save game
Yes

It's almost certainly because of the bug reported here. If your religion makes adultery criminal, all other traits that can be criminal (in this case, Witch) are treated as if they're illegal by the trait_is_criminal_in_faith_trigger function.

Ah - yep, looks like it. I believe in my game where Witchcraft was working properly I had made adultery legal so people would stop bothering me about it. I was assuming it was a 1.1 issue; sucks this was reported prior to the patch but not included in the fixes, but I have no idea how long things like this take. Thanks.

In principle it shouldn't take long - it's a very simple code fix, even intuitive once pointed out. Doesn't seem to get much attention though.
