Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
My troops suffer penalties in battle because im in debt, but all values are positive and i cannot find any way to rid myself of debt, in past games it was a decision, but theres nothing there.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue
Honestly, i dont know how it happened, sorry im not more help

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?

The tooltip is confusingly worded, but you're getting a *bonus* because your *opponent* is in debt. That's why it's green instead of red. Mouse over the modifiers to Advantage during the actual battle - you should see that you get a bonus.
